Clinton, one step -daughter, Mrs.
Edith Landsborough of Clinton,
one brother Norman Tyndall of
Clinton, eight grandchildren arid
two great-grandchildren also
survive. The late Mrs. Gibbings
rested at the Ball Funeral Home,
153 High St., Clinton where the
funeral service was held on
Saturday, May 21, 1977 at 3 p.m.

at 2:15 p.m. Interment in St.
Marys Cemetery, St. Marys,
Ontario.

Clinton thief sees
the error in his ways
One Clinton thief found the
error of his ways and decided
to repent his sins, two years
after his crime had been
committed. The following is a
letter the thief sent to Lavis
Contracting as an apology
along with a $15 reim-
bursement for his thievery:
'Contained in this letter is
hopefully enough money to
pay for one of the yellow
flashing construction lights
which was stolen in Clinton a
couple of years ago by the
person writing this letter.
The Bible says that when

munity held a shower at the
Brucefield United Church for
the bride to be, Miss Linda
Coleman. A large .crowd
attended the affair.
The sympathy of the
community is extended to Mr.
and Mrs. Lince on the loss of
their son Charles, on Wed-
nesday as the result of a
motorcycle accident.
The young people's
niversary wjll be held on May
29 at 11:00 a.m. The Snell
Family of Londesboro will
provide the music, and Rev.
John•Beaton is guest speaker
so come and enjoy the service
with the young folks.
The Tuckersmith UCW
Group 1 met on May 9 with a
large crowd attending the
plant sale. The .meeting -was
in charge of Mrs. Muriel
Allan and Mrs. Doris Sillery.
Mrs. Allan opened the
meeting with a poem and Was
followed by a hymn with Mrs.
Alice Scott at the piano. Mrs.
Allan spoke on the topic
"Love" and it proved to be
very interesting.
The business portion of the
meeting was chaired by Mrs.
Marjorie Broadfoot and the
report on the April meeting
was given by the secretary,
Mrs. Sillery.
Mrs. Berry reported.on the
Gideon dinner which was

quite gratifying. It was also
noted that' the plant sale
brought in $75.30. Mrs. Stoll
reported on the cards sent to
Mrs. Sholdice and Mrs.
Haugh.
June 7' is Visitor Day when
all the neighbouring socieities4
are invited.
The next UCW meeting will
be °held on June 13 and the
ladies are asked to bring a
friend to enjoy a social,
evening.
