Pro Life Group meets
The Goderich and District
Pro Life Group held their
meeting at the former St.
Elizabeth School on Tuesday,
May 17.
It was decided to send
letters from the group to each
of the local candidates in the
forthcoming Provincial
elections. He or she will be
asked if they favor stricter
interpretation of the present
abortion law to protect un-
born children.
An opinion from the can-
didates is also requested
concerning the an-
nouncement by Marc
Lalonde, federal minister of
Health, that he wishes the
Provinces to set up Women's
Clinics' where abortions
would be made available.
This vtfould certainly lead to
an increase in the number of
abortions performed, the
local group feels.
Connie Osborn, education
chairman, had recently
presented a film and program
to the C.W.L. at St. Peter's

days, arriving in time for the
Festival for Life which was
held May 5 to 7.
Adrian' was greeted on his
arrival by the deputy mayor
of Ottawa, Marion Dewar and
Pro Life members.
• During his walk Adrian had
only one slightly unpleasant
incident. He is convinced that
the majority of people are
opposed to the liberalization
of the abortion law.
Adrian was interviewed on
T.V. and on radio in Ottawa
and by CKNX since returning
home. Adrian constantly
reminds people that he is not
just anti -abortion, he is Pro
Life. This takes in the dignity
of all human life - the pre -
born, the aged, youth, the
handicapped, and mentally
retarded.
Money raised by the walk
will be divided between the
Pro Life and Mentally
Retarded organizations.
Between 4,000 to 5,000 Pro
Life supporters took part in
the rally on Parliament Hill
on May 6. There were 75 to 100
demonstrators for "Abortion
by Choice".
