christening of Julie Kathleen
Cook daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Raymond Cook,
Goderich at North Street
Church. Julie Kathleen is the
great granddaughter of Mrs.
Huller. Later a dinner was
served with 25 attending at
the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Raymond Cook with M. and
Mrs. Bill Batkin and Mrs.
Huller.
Monday morning about 3:30
a.m. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace
Avery were awakened by a
big noise and squawking
chickens. A truck carrying a
large load of chickens hit the
bridge putting 19 crates of
chickens everywhere. Mr.
and Mrs. Avery went out to
see if they could be of any
help and it was 5:30 before
they settled back down to bed.
With all the feathers lying on
the road, the birds are having
their next building made
easy.
Mr. and Mrs. Duff are busy
getting their new home in
place on the foundation toddy,
and have Don's parents of
Tara spending a few days
helping out.

hanks. Elaine also spoke on
her school days at Porters
Hill school.
Elaine is certainly a very
interesting speaker for all
groups. She thanked the
Institute for having her.
Charlotte Norman thanited
Elaine for coming to the 1
meeting.
Marion Powell had the
ladies play ti game of moving;
it turned out to be very much
fun for all. Marion Powell
then made a motion for the
Institute to beautify the front
of the Holmesville School.
Marion was put in charge of
her suggestion with Pat
Postill, Grace Walters, Helen
Lindsay and Blanche Deeves
as her as';istants.
Collection was received and
lunch was served by
Charlotte Norman. Beatrice
Walsh, Bernice Mcllwain and
Blanche Deeves. A social
time was had by all present.
So I hear by the grapevine,
they are really spreading it
thick on Johnny's garden this
year.
