60 attend plant auction
The Clinton Horticultural
Society's plant auction sale
was held May 6, in the town
hall and drew a crowd of
about 60 eager buyers. The
quality was superb - trees,
violets and table
arrangements - since it was
so close to Mother's Day.
The Pullens donated fer-
tilizer, just everything for
sale from flowers to food for
growth. The auctioneer,
Richard Lobb was good as
always, assisted by Mrs.
Greg Brandon and secretary,
Mrs. Dorothy Williams.
Proceeds were $136.10.
The Junior Gardeners held
a most successful spring
flower show and tea at the
charming country home of
Mr. and Mrs. Don Pullen last
Saturday.
The children planned to
serve out on the patio, but the

operate so 16 Junior gar-
deners received 32 guests in
the lovely Pullen home.
