Toronto spent the weekend
with her mother, Mrs. Sam

returned to their home after
spending the winter months
in Florida.
Presentation to minister
A farewell party was held
in Carmel Presbyterian
Church Rooms on Tuesday
evening for Rev. Wilfred
Jarvis, who has been minister
of the congregation for the -
past eight years.
Mr. Bert Thompson was
Master of Ceremonies for the •
following program presented
by the various organizations
of the congregation. Mrs.
Malcom MDougall and Mrs.
Edith Bell sang a duet "Let
The Rest Of The World Go
By" and played a piano duet
"Country Garden". A skit
presented by the Arnold
Circle and Sunday School
teachers was entitled "The
Biff Jarvis Celebrity. Roast."
Mrs. John Baker was
-narrator with parts taken as
follows "The Minister
Making A Social Call" was
taken by Mrs. Don Volland.
"Finances of the Church''
taken by Mrs. Harry Moir.
"The Best Front for the
Minister" by Mrs. Homer'
Campbell. "When a Minister
Goes To Tea" by Mrs.
Murray Bell. "Version Of The
Minister" taken by Mrs. Bill
Tinney.
Mrs: John Baker thanked
Rev. Jarvis on behalf of the.
"Teen Class" for all he had
done for them. Miss Brenda
Pepper played piano solos
entitled "What The World
Needs Now Is Love" and
"Raindrops Keep Falling On
My Head". Mrs. Edith Bell
and Miss Sylvka Bell favored
with piano and guitar
selections. and a solo "A Big
Bouquet of Roses.' and "Near
You". Miss Donna Taylor
played piano numbers.
Rev. .Jarvis was called on
and Mrs. Esther Wright read
the address and, Bert
Thomp..an, Clerk of the
Session, presented Rev.
Jarvis with a gift. Rev. Jarvis
expressed sincere 'thanks and
appreciation. A sing -song was
led by Mrs. Malcom Dougall
and all joined in singing "For
He's A .Jolly Good Fellow".
Refreshments were served-.

Plans were made to attend
the Past Grand's Night in
Exeter at Pride of Huron
Lodge on May 11 and to at-
tend the 65th anniversary of
Edelweiss Lodge Seaforth on
May 1:'th to be held in the
Community Centre. Tickets
are available from the
secretary Mrs. Leona Parke.
A discussion arose over a
"Bakeless Sale" and it was
decided to lease it until a
later date. }
