Dianne Bromley had the

Suzie Chambers cleaned
out the ladies' standings in
the YBC Teen league with
George Collins duplicating
her performance in the men's
division. Suzie had the high

through the ladies' standings
taking the high single of 310;

Londesboro Men's
For the second week in a
row, Bert Lyon has the high
triple of 714 and Harry Lear,
the high average of 223 in the
Londesboro Men's league.
Glen Carter took the high
single of 311.
The team standings remain
unchanged with the Doves
leading with 98, followed by
the Owls with 91; the Finches
and the Eagles tied with 77;
the Robins with 73; and the

Lynn Armstrong swept the
girls' standings in the YBC,
Friday Night league for a
third straight week, taking
the high single of 216; the high
double of 364 and the high

swept the men s standings
taking the high single of 238;
the high double of 388 and the
high average of 167.
The Tree Strikers continue
to dominate the ` team stan-
dings with 881.2 points,
leading the Fabulous Five
with 86 and the Headpins with

Crash Landing, owned by
George .Feagan of Goderich,
came up with two wins for
trainer -driver Ron Feagan
this past week. .
The 6 -year-old H. A.
Meadowland horse was first
in 2:03 at Greenwood on
Thursday night, then moved
to Mohawk to race on Sunday
and again he was a winner in
'2:04.4. Last year he took a
record of 2:01.2 when he had
six wins, four seconds and
nine thirds from 43 starts.
Randy McLean of Goderich
had good luck with two horses
that he trains for Che Bec
Ltd. of Montreal. He won with
Scat Man in 2:09.4 on Friday
night and with Chinco Dane
on Saturday afternoon at the
London track in 2:11.2.
Scat Man is an eight-year-
old horse with a mark of p,
2:03.3 and has made over
$22,000, while Chinco Dane is
a nine-year-old horse with a
pacing record of 2:01.4 and
lifetime earnings of nearly
$90,000. Randy finished
second with his. other two
drives - Wednesday with Tide
Delight for Donafd Campbell
of Goderich and Friday with
Jason Direct for Len Gold-
farb of Montreal.
Shalako N., owned by Bill
Fleming of 'Clinton, got his
second win of the year in p,
2:07.2 with trainer -driver
Tom0Strauss at Greenwood on
March 16 .
His seven-year-old mare,
Bubbling Over, fell during
her warm-up mile at Mohawk
on Sunday night and hac10 be
scratched.
Muddy Knight came
through with his first win
since he was claimed for
$6,000 on January 19 by his
present owners, Jim McLeod
of Seaforth and C. Browning`
of Toronto. He was driven to
his 2:07 mile by his trainer
Ron Williamson of Seaforth at
London on March 16.
In 1976 the eight-year-old
pacer had 12 wins, five
seconds and two thirds in 39
outings; good for $9,116 plus a
pacing record of 2:04.
Gerry Roebuck was fourth
behind Spoiled Ben. Granny
Mathers had a second for the
Broken M. Stables of
Goderich. Shelly Duke was
third at Windsor for owner
Art Maskell of Goderich.
Dennis Jewitt of Clinton
finished third with. Armbro
Prince at Flamboro for Doug
Bell of Loridesboro.

London on Friday night for
the Broken M. Stables of
Goderich. Bobby Tar got his
fourth win of the year in
2:09.1 for owner Jim Riehl of
Goderich and driver Joe
McDaid.
Valleycreek Cleo was
claimed for $3,000 from Ken
Hill of Lambeth on Wed-
nesday night by his previous
owner Brian Reidy of London.
At London on Saturday
afternoon, Chief Noble,
owned by Gord Rapson of
Holmesville, was fourth with
trainer -driver Norm Cam-
pbell. Muddy Knight was
third with Ron Williamson up.
Dapper Dillon was fifth,
after being parked out for the
mile, at Mohawk on Sunday
night in the first division of
the third leg of the Don Mills
Trotting Series for a purse of
$11,250.
Prima Daisy, owned by
Roy B. Baynham of Kippen
and J. Bettke of Elmira, had
her first win of the year in
2:08.4, a new record, at
London on Monday night in
the second race.
G. G. Greentree had a
second place finish in the
fourth race with driver Norm
Campbell for owners C. W.
(Diggs) Le Beau of Brucefield
and Barry Miller of Kirkton.
Granny Mathers was fourth
for the Broken M. Stables of
Goderich. '
Timely Pat, formerly
owned by May and Walter
Pepper of Clinton, is still
racing good for his Markdale
owners. He had his third win
of the year at Orangeville on
March 13, plus two seconds
from seven outings. Last year
he took a new record at nine
years of p,, 2:09.3 with eight
wins, seven seconds and 10
thirds from 48 starts, good for
earnings of $4,448.

The Seaforth Club entered
two rinks in „a Ladies' Spiel in
Goderich on Wednesday,
March 16th,
Lois Hayter skipped a team
with Sheila Murray, Irma
Pryce and Helen Thompson.
They won third prize in their
draw. Also curling, but out of
the prizes were Anne Cun-
ningham, with Lorine Den-
nome, Lonna Wood and Joyce
Hilderley.
On Saturday, March 19;
Glen Hayter, , Bob
Fotheringham, Ncil Dolmage
and Murray Forhes curled in
a men's spiel in Vanastra and
won a consolation prize for
their draw.
On Thursday, Bob Wilson,
John Patterson, Royce
Macaulay and Doug
Macaulay attended a Spiel in
Thov didn't curl
together as a team so I
couldn't get any results from
them beyond the fact that
John came home with the
door prize.
Doug and Peggy Rowcliffe
curled in the Two -Day Mixed
Invitational at the Exeter
Club with Bev and Lorraine
Alexander. They came home
with second prize and
reported a very successful
spiel.
Our own Mixed Invitational
is this weekend. Keep in mind
that the dance on Saturday
night is open to members and
their guests. If you can't curl
in the Spiel, cone and join the
fun at the dance.
Up -coming things to report
will be the winners of the
second draw for the Mixed
league, the pot luck supper
date and maybe something
new in Competition.
