In the team standings, the Headpins roll ahead with 95 points followed by the Try- Alls with 81; the Zepplins with 75 and the Whiz Bangs with 71. • YBC Majors The Bad News Bears and the Rough Riders with 12.5 points each are battling for ✓ second place in the YBC Majors league. The Rams continue to lead with 1331/2 with the Winners following in third place with 1141/2. Nancy Kuehl had the ladies' high single of 226 and the high average of 189 with the high triple going to Angela Duizer with 513. In the men's division, Brad a Atkinson had the men's high single of 262; Bob Riehl had the high thele of 628; and Bob Atkinson, the high average of 211. Londesboro Ladies' Brenda Radford and Dorothy Carter tied for the ladies' high single of 218 on the Londesboro Ladies' league. The 6 -year-old H. A. Meadowland horse was first in 2:03 at Greenwood on Thursday night, then moved to Mohawk to race on Sunday and again he was a winner in '2:04.4. Last year he took a record of 2:01.2 when he had six wins, four seconds and nine thirds from 43 starts. Randy McLean of Goderich had good luck with two horses that he trains for Che Bec Ltd. of Montreal. He won with Scat Man in 2:09.4 on Friday night and with Chinco Dane on Saturday afternoon at the London track in 2:11.2. Scat Man is an eight-year- old horse with a mark of p, 2:03.3 and has made over $22,000, while Chinco Dane is a nine-year-old horse with a pacing record of 2:01.4 and lifetime earnings of nearly $90,000. Randy finished second with his. other two drives - Wednesday with Tide Delight for Donafd Campbell of Goderich and Friday with Jason Direct for Len Gold- farb of Montreal. He was driven to his 2:07 mile by his trainer Ron Williamson of Seaforth at London on March 16. Seaforth furling news CLINTON NEWS -RECORD, Ttit,IRSDAV,'MARCH 24,1977 -PAGE 7 The Seaforth Club entered two rinks in „a Ladies' Spiel in Goderich on Wednesday, March 16th, Lois Hayter skipped a team with Sheila Murray, Irma Pryce and Helen Thompson. They won third prize in their draw. Also curling, but out of the prizes were Anne Cun- ningham, with Lorine Den- nome, Lonna Wood and Joyce Hilderley. On Saturday, March 19; Glen Hayter, , Bob Fotheringham, Ncil Dolmage and Murray Forhes curled in a men's spiel in Vanastra and won a consolation prize for their draw. On Thursday, Bob Wilson, John Patterson, Royce Macaulay and Doug Macaulay attended a Spiel in Thov didn't curl together as a team so I couldn't get any results from them beyond the fact that John came home with the door prize. Doug and Peggy Rowcliffe curled in the Two -Day Mixed Invitational at the Exeter Club with Bev and Lorraine Alexander. They came home with second prize and reported a very successful spiel. Our own Mixed Invitational is this weekend. Keep in mind that the dance on Saturday night is open to members and their guests. If you can't curl in the Spiel, cone and join the fun at the dance.
