Second game of this best -of - five semi-finals will be Sunday evening in New Hamburg. The winner of this exciting series will play Listowel in the final round. The Mustangs edged the Hahns in the regular season with three wins, one loss, and two ties. However, playoff hockey will bring out the best of these two teams and a five game series is likely to happen. One good note for the Mustangs is the C.uct' . t1 ai leading scorer, in the regular season Robbie Heard, will be back in the line up, `after missing the Port Elgin series, with a groin injury suffered in the final season game with Walkerton Black Hawks'. Third game of this series will be played in Clinton, possibly next Tuesday night at 8:30 p.m. What's rolling at the lanes YBC Friday Afternoon Dianne Bromley swept the girls' standings . in the YBC Friday afternoon league taking the high single of 170, the high triple of 319 and the high average of 133. Ken Hart had the high single of 202 and the high triple of 333 in the boys' division with Scott Kay taking the high average of 182. The Pack Rats have scrambled into the lead in the team standings with 83 points, leaving the Tiger Cats in second place with 80. Boussey's Baboons have bounded into third with 791/2 with Kazy and the Pups following closely with 79. Corrie's Coyotes with 71 lead the Lions with 70, the Bears with 68, and Ken's Cobras with 601/2. In the team standings, Joost's Jaguars continue to chug in first place with 88 points with Walter's Olds moving along behind with 84. YBC Majors Wendy Gibbings and Nancy Kuehl continue to share the top standings in the ladies' division of the YBC Majors league. Wendy had the high single of 277 and the high triple of 622, leaving the high average to Nancy Kuehl with 190. Doug Riehl had the high single of 262 in the men's division, while Bob Riehl took the high triple of,657 and Bob Atkinson took the high average of 211. The team standings remain unchanged with the Rams in the lead with 1241/2 points. The Bad News Bears follow in second with 117 and the Rough Riders with 114. The Winners trail with 1021/2. Tuckersmith Mixed Aileen Bake swept ladies' division of the the single of 360 and the high triple of 862 in the Molson's Crown Mixed league, leaving the high average to Ken Johnston with 240. Huron-Dex Louise Gibbings continues to hold the ladies' high single of 197 in the Huron-Dex league: Elly Boone had the high single of 332 and Phyllis Thompson had the high triple of 714. In the men's division, Ian Hulley had the high single of 197 and the high triple of 530 with John Howard taking the high average of 176. The Headpins with 85 points continue to lead the team standings, followed by the Try-Alls with 77, the Zepplins with 71 and the Whiz Bangs with 61. Clinton Mixed 'The Who Cares with 80 points have moved into second place in the Clinton Mixed league, slightly behind Pickle and Friends with 83. The X's and O's with 79 lead Keek's Strikers with 76, and the Die Hards and the Flin- tstones tied with 72. The Buzzer Bowlers with 64 hold a slight lead over the last place True grits with 63. In the ladies' standings, Val Marriage had the high triple of 673 and the high average of 224, with the high single going to Libbey Strong with 309. Blyth -Clinton The Blyth -Clinton league is back in action with the Striking Demons tying the Windmills for second place with 35 points. They follow the Bionic Wonders, leading with 40. The Odd Balls Bunch with 32 points lead the Bonnie Braves with 30 and the Ups and Downs with 29. Mae Ritchie had the high single of 249, while Sue McFadden took the high triple of 624 and Linda Cooper the high average of 206. Other high singles were Susan Howson with 247; Rena Kolk- man with 234 and Bonnie Cook with 232. Molson's Crown Mixed Art Burt had the men's high Londesboro Men's Don Buchanan had the men's high single of 304 and the high triple of 727 in the Londesboro Men's league, with the high average of 224 going to Harry Lear. In the team standings, the Doves with 86 lead the Owls with 85 and the Finches with 72. The Eagles with 67 hold a slim roll over the Robins with 66 and the Hawks with 65. Clinton III 4-H The first meeting of Clinton III 4-H was held at the Wesley -Willis United Church on March 1. We opened our meeting with the 4-H pledge and held our election of officers. They are: president, Lori Saun- dercock; vice-president, Bev Walker; secretary, Judy Johnston ; press reporters, Beth Saundercock, Robin Bosworth. As well as placing third overall, Karen Schneider left, won a bronze 'medal in intermediate ladies free skate, Brenda Dupee won a gold in intermediate free skate, and Kim Marsden, silver medal in senior free skate. Juveniles face elimination The Clinton Juveniles face elimination in the first round of the Double "C" playoff, after losing the first two games of the best of five series. Clinton lost the opener 4-3 last Thursday night in Forest, then dropped the second game in Clinton last Saturday night 6 - 1. The third game in the series is being played tonight (Thursday) in Forest, with the fourth and fifth games, if necessary, set for Clinton this weekend. Bantams tied in playoffs The Clinton Bantams are deadlocked with Wingham at one game each in the best of three consolation series playoffs. Clinton dropped the opening game 8-4 in Wingham last Friday night, but rebounded to tie the series last Sunday in Clinton, when they edged the Wingham team 8-6. - The third and deciding game will be played , on neutral ice this week, likely in Blyth, but no date was available at presstime. Colts battle Port Elgin In the Friday game, Clinton scorers were Tony Gibbings with a pair, and singles by Scott Consitt and Robert as group finals here Sun.
