Brucefieid. and a parishioner
of the Ontario Street United
Church, Clinton.
Mrs. McEwen is survived
by two sons, Duncan and
Walter; one daughter; Mrs.
Russell (Margaret) Zurbrigg
of Wingham ; two sistsers,
Mrs. Wm. (Ethel) Elsley,
Mount Forest and Mrs. F.H.
(Violet) Thompson, Sarnia
two children and two great -
grandhildren.
Rev. L. Lewis officiated at
the December 4th funeral
service held at the Bail
Funeral Home. Interment
was in Baird's Cemetery.

Adrian Cornelius Van
Dongen, 177 Albert Street,
Apartment 11, Clinton, died
December 16 in Alexandra
Marine and General Hospital,
was a member of St. Joseph's
Church in Clinton.
He was predeceased by his
wife, the former Wilhelmina
H. Brouwers on July 6, 1970.
-The couple had been married
May 1, 1929 in The
Netherlands.
Surviving are four sons,
Case of Windsor; Peter of
Rodney; Tony of Clinton; and
Adriaan (Archie) of Lam-
beth; eight grandchildren
and one great grandchild;
one sister and one brother,
Elizabeth Van Dongen and
Arnold Van Dongen, both of
Gertruitenberg, The
Netherlands.
The body rested at the
Stiles Funeral Home until
Saturday, December 18 at 12
noon when the funeral service
was held at $t. Joseph's
Church in Clinton with the
Rev. Fr. Joseph Hardy of-
ficiating.
Interment was in St.
Joseph's Church Cemetery,
Kingsbridge. Pallbearers
were sons Case, Peter, Tony
and Adriann and two g: an-
dsons, Adrian and Robert
Van Dongen.
Prayers were said at the
funeral home Friday evening.

Holy Communion was
administered by Rev. G. A.
Anderson at St. Paul's
Anglican Church. The text of
the sermon for Bible Sunday
was taken from 1 Corinthians
9 verse 16, "'Woe unto me if I
preach not the Gospel". The
flowers were in loving
memory of the late Mr.
Archie Noakes.
Kinsmen Meet
The joint meeting of the
Hensall and District Kinsmen
and the Exeter Kinsmen was
held on December 1, 1976 at
the Hensall Bean Pot.
A delicious dinner of roast
beef was served during the
active dinner session. The
raffle was won by Wayne
King of Exeter. After the
meal the Kinsmen adjourned
to the Hensall Public School,
where both clubs enjoyed fun
and fellowship while playing
volleyball.
On December 4, 1976 the
Hensall Kinsmen and
Kinettes met at the Hensall
arena to enjoy a Christmas

were weekend visitors with
Mrs. Beaver's 'mother, Mrs.
Edith Bell and sister Sylvia.
Rev. W.D. Jarvis con-
ducted the service in Carmel
Presbyterian church on
Sunday, celebrating the
second Sunday of Advent.
Mrs. Malcom Dougall led the
choir in singing the anthem.
The flowers in the church
wereplaced in loving
memory of the late Mr.
Archie Noakes by his familli.
Holy Communion will be
celebrated next Sunday Dec.
12th at 10 a.m.
