Mrs. Myrtle Pease and Irvin spent the weekend at their home here. - Mrs. Norma Stewart of Ripley visited her sister, Mrs. Milvena Erickson on Tuesday. She was ac- companied by Mrs. Janet Kempton from Amberley. Mrs. W.E. Morley of Cleveland. Ohio has spent several days at her home in the village. Dr. and Mrs. Bill Tillmann and family, London were in the village on the weekend. Mr. Ray Schell, Mr. and Mrs. Norm Talbot, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Talbot attended the Golden Wedding, Anniversary. of friends, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Heover, in the North Norwich Public School in Burgesville. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Mike Eckert of Clinton on the safe arrival of their son Bertram John. Mr. and Mrs. John Boyes and family, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Erickson and family attended a family reunion in Clinton at the home of Mrs. Marie Eckert in honour of her new grandson Bertram John. They had a special thrill as there were four generations on both sides of the family. As Mike and Janet both came from Bayfield. it is in teresting to note the four generations were: Mrs. Marie Eckert; her father, Mike; and Baby Bertram, also John Boyes, his mother, Janet and Baby Bertram. Congratulations to all. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Casler from Lansing, Michigan visited Mr. and Mrs. Norm Talbot on Friday' and treated them to a Chinese dinner at the Canton Restaurant, London, in honour of Mr. arid Mrs. Talbot's 38th wedding anniversary. The Bayfield Ever Young Club met, in the Municipal Building on Thursday night with 30 members answering the roll Tickets were sold for the annual Christmas dinner being held in St. Andrews United Church on Dec. 2. This will be the last meeting of the club until January. The lucky /\ ticket for the afghan will be drawn,a1 the -dinner. - Bayfield Baptist Church held their regular services Sunday with the pastor. Rev . Brian Harrison in charge. The morning sermon was based on the ist Chapter of Acts, verses 1-8,, this passage specifically says Christ commands everyone to witness. One must be con- sistant in the life they lead and be an example, if they are not witnessing what good are they? It is like a lighthouse if one couldn't depend on the light being on. When one accepts Christ as their Saviour they automatically become a witness for Christ. After the evening service a "fireside” hour was spent in the Sunday School rooms, with light refreshments being served. The Christmas meeting of the Baptist Women 's Missionary Fellowship will be held- Tuesday Dec. 7th at the home of Mrs. Janet Talbot at 8 p.m. There will be an ex- change of small gifts.
