Morning Market a stu cess
.
Wesley -Willis was °bursting
with excitement at 10 A.M.
Saturday, November 6, as
Rev. John Oestreicher of-
ficially opened the Morning
Market - 76.
Smiling, children arrived
with their moth,ers,tO shop in
their own Kiddies Kerner and
then travel on to the Puppet
Theatre.
The Kiddies Korner, which
was a new venture this year,
was filled with delightful
articles for the young fry at
children's prices. To make it
all complete, Santa arrived.
The Puppet Theatre en-
tertained audiences to their
version of "Jack in the
Beanstalk" well done with
marionettes. This was
thoroughly enjoyed by young
and old alike.
The usual market booths of
sewing. knitting, .Christmas
novelties, baking and
delicatessen • were wet)
patronized. Then armed with
their shopping, friends , and
families would, sit -down arir"iil
enjoy a lunch before going on
their way.
The Flea Market and silent
Auction always draw their
own clientele. One visitor. in
the area from Toronto, was
heard to say "We wanted to
go to an auction so we decided
to come here."
Yes. the group were
pleased to have many visitots
at our "Niorning Market" but
we did appreciate the people
of Clinon and area. from
other churches and
organizations who support us
year after year. ,
And really is this not what
small towns are all about
"people helping people"? To
you "people" Wesley -Willis
says "Thank You"! !
