the Playhouse after a 12 -
performance tour made
possible. in part, by a
WINTARIO grant from the
Ontario Ministry of Culture
and -Recreation.
Nearly 3,000 people saw
"Anne" during its first week
at the Playhouse. All at-
tendance records were
broken at the Grand Bend
theatre, including thosd set
just two weeks before with
another hit of the season.
"The Boyfriend." For the
first time ever, a Playhouse
production is- being held -over
for a full 3 -week run. In all,
"Anne' will play more than
30 performances.
On the road, the show has
also been playing to capacity
crowds, and to frequent
standing ovations. Without a
doubt, "Anne of Green
Gables" is Canada's
perennial favourite.
The Playhouse production
of "Anne" is in better shape
than ever, according to
director Don Fleckser. The
company of 40, including the
11 members of the
London Symphony who form
the orchestra for the show,
are all well -seasoned after
playing on so many different
stages. The touring locations
have included Lion's Head,
Goderich, Meaford, Sarnia,
Owen Sound and Seaforth.

Ball roiling for '78 Match
Preparations for the 1978
International Plowing Match
have been underway for sortie
time.
Although the Huron
International is still more
than two years distant.
practically all the com-
mittees have been named and
are busy with their plans. The
1978 match will be held on the
Jim Armstrong farm a mile
east of Wingham and on those
of his nearer neighbors.
One committee which has
to make an early start is the
group which takes charge of
publicity and promotion.
headed by Ray Scotch mer of
Bayfield as chairman.
At a meeting in Clinton last
w+tk the P & PR committee
handled much of the planning
for the Huron plowmen's
exhibit at the forthcoming
International to be held near
Walkerton at the end of
September this year. The
exhibit is essential to
publicize the forthcoming
match in Huron. A similar or
even greater effort will be
required next year, when the
International will be held
near Kingston.
Within the next few weeks
committee personnel for the
'78 International will be
identifiable by their official
garb — maroon blazers or
squall jackets highlighted ,by
the official crest of the match, .
powder blue trousers and
blue shirts and ties.,

I read your "IMPACT"
column each week with in-
terest and am glad there is
this service.
1 was recently offered some
land in Florida. The deal
sounds very attractive but I'm
rather hesitant to lump into
anything done on the
telephone. 1 told the caller this
and he agreed to mail me
some literature. This has lust
arrived, but now I'm won-
dering if it's quite legal to
purchase land in another
country.
Could you advise me
regarding this or put me in
touch with someone who can.
Thank you.
Yes. it's quite legal to own
property in a country other
than Canada. You have no
problem in that regard;
however, the land has to be
registered first before it can
be offered for sale outside of
Ontario.
The people to contact before
making a deal you may later
regret are in the FOREIGN
LANDS OFFICE, in the
REGISTRAR OF REAL
ESTATE BROKERS. 555
YONGE STREET.
TORONTO. Their telephone
number is 365-2504.
