Clinton -',Soccer Club suf-
fered
uffered its worst defeat of the
season when they played the
London Lions at the weekend
and went down 6-0 in the
second division league play.
Clinton was completely
outplayed by a Lions team
which has greatly improved
since their meeting in May
when these two teams tied
one goal each in a close game.
The young Clinton team put
everything into the game, but
their lack of experience was
very much in evidence.
++ The Lions went ahead in the
first five minutes of play on
'an unfortunate goal when
Hessiewood misjudged a ball
which went over his head and
into the net.
This seemed to unsettle our
usually cool goalkeeper and
he was very nervous as the
Lions used the wind ad-
vantage to keep the .play at
Clinton's end and three more
the summer moulding strong
baseball teams. It is ap-
proaching play off time again
and as tradition has it, all of
the Clinton teams are strong
contenders for championship
honors. It's going to be- a
beautiful day for baseball, so
come on down!
Flyers take
goal. were added to put the
Lions ahead 4 -Oat half-time.
Ten minutes after the
restart, C'linton found
themselves down 540 and the
harder Clinton tried, the
more disorganized they
became.
It seemed they could do
nothing right, even when Don
Armstrong had a chance to
score on a penalty shot. He
blasted the ball 10 feet past
the Lion's net.
From then on it was all
downhill for Clinton as -,the
Lions treated the home team
and the fans to a lesson in ball
contrail and passing.
' The Lions -added one more
goal to make the final -score 6-
0.

Fleming Fiyers were host to
St. Coltimban and were
defeated, 2-1. Most of the play
was in their hands, but they
could not score their second
goal. Scott Bell scored the
only goal for the Flyers.
This is the first loss of the
season in league play for the
Flyers. They were very
disappointed. but should
make a come back in the
ret wining games. The stars
of this game were Scott Bell.
Jim Fleming and David
Allan.

problems began. The retail

If a deal is really good:
—Take two or three days and
do some checking.
—Make absolutely sure there
is a demand for the product.
—Contact the Better Business
Bureau or the Consumer
Protection Bureau and check
the company's credentials.
—Contpt a lawyer and have
him explain the terms of the

—Never sign a contract
without looking at all the
implications.
— Don't be taken in by high

I've noticed that you
published a few letters
recently concerning_,.car
accidents, claims etc. so Vm"
hoping you may be able to
advise me about an accident
that I was in last year, in
which. 1 received injuries to
my back and lost two months
of work because of , the in-
juries.
The fellow who was at fault
in the accident wouldn't pay.
so I hired a lawyer. 1 told him
the whole story and then left
thinking everything would be
all right. Now, it seems the
lawyer got me date of the -
accident wrong and 1 can't
collect anything because it is
too late to sue the other driver.
What can 1 do now?
First, hire yourself another
lawyer. Then ask him ,to sue
the first lawyer for the money
you would have received from
the other driver if the action
had been commenced before
the Limitation period ran out.
Make certain, though. that the
mistake as to the date was the
lawyer's fault and not yours...
