Medical Society reports that
Sharon A. Thompson R.N. of
Ontario Street, Clinton
recently returned from a
Mort -term mission to the
Dominican Republic spon-

Missions program of the
Christian Medical Society.
Miss Thompson was part of
a team of ophthalmologists,
nesthesiologists, op-

and other support personnel

Your writer's brother and
his wife, Mr. and Mrs. John
Taylor, of Rio de Janeiro,
Brazil. have teen visiting
with the family for the past
two weeks. While here, the
Taylors have been happy to
renew acquaintances with
three couples whom they first
met in Rio two years ago —
Mr. and Mrs. Alan Galbraith
and Dr. and Mrs. Frank
Newland of Clinton and Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Corbett of
Ailsa Craig, Ontario. From
Clinton they will make the
return trip to Brazil via
Vancouver where they will be
visiting with the remainder of
the family — that is if the air
traffic controllers and the air
pilots, not to mention the
government, co-operate to
get them, and a few thousand
other frustrated travellers,
off the ground.

a mint green A-line styled

roses. The groom's mother
assisted, wearing a peach
coloured, empire -waisted
dress and a corsage of yellow
roses.
The couple travelled to
eastern Canada for their
honeymoon and are now
residing on Shipley St., in
Clinton.
Out of town guests were
present from Winnipeg,
Holland, Hamilton, Sarnia.
St. Thomas, London, Listowel
and Barrie.
Prior to the wedding, the
bride was entertained at
showers held by Mrs. Corrie
Haak. Mrs. Janine Clynick,
Miss Wibbina Bylsma, Miss
Mary Ann Bakker', Miss
Henrietta Stryker and Mrs.
Debbie Jamieson.

Valkenburg, sister of the
bride from Winnipeg, , wore a
flowered chiffon dress with
iced orange lining. The -bridal
attendants wore gowns
similar to the maid of
honour's. They were Sophia
Hoogendoorn, sister of the
groor-t1 and Winnie Valken-
burg, a sister of the bride
from Hamilton. They all
carried bouquets of shasta
daisies and baby's breath.

behalf of the residents.

Monday afternoons program

activities.
The Clinton Legion Pipe
Band entertained on Family
Night and all of the residents
were able to enjoy the music
either on the front lawn or at
the windows on the west side
