Rehearsals began this week
for the July 3rd opening of art!
Blyth Summer Festival. This
year's company is Operating
under the jurisdiction of
Canadian Actor's Equity
Association and the Festival
is bigger and .better than
ever.
The professional actors will
be supplemented by six local
performers. In addition there
will be four musicians and
seven technical people
working on the theatrical
productions.
This year. the Ontario
Government student em-
ployment program.
"Experience 76", under the
!auspices of the Ontario Arts
Council, is providing three
apprentices to the Blyth
Summer Festival. They are
Philip Street, a native of
Blyth: Janis Irvine. from
Sarnia who just finished her
first year of study, at Ryerson
Polytechnical Institute in
Toronto: and Jack Blum': of
Hamilton, a performance
student at the National
Theatre Schol in Montreal.
Casting has been completed
for the first two productions
and is as follows:
