A little household tip — if
your electric dryer seems to
be operating properly. but the
clothes aren't drying, check

in Varna found birds nesting
in hers, another found that a
large drum had pushed the
hood of the vent in, closing it
completely.

Dave Brock a local farmer
who has recently attended a
conference: ill Londhn on the
World Peed Crisis, spoke to
us on that topic during ser-
mon time. De pointed out that
it „is not always...,poss i le to
help the "Third.' ,tt'1'`ld
Nations" by sending food as'
we may even be taking away
their livelihood by doing so.
Leading up to his talk were
bible readings and prayers
and hymns on the
agricultural topic. The ser-
vice was in charge of Rev.
Don Beck' .assisted at .the
organ by Mrs. John
Turkheim. The choir sang the
anthem, "1 have decided to
follow Jesus". During the
service. Shane Roy. son of
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Pepper,
was presented for baptism.

Unit 2 of Hensall United
Church did not hold their
usual monthly meeting
during April but instead met
for a "fun evening" last
Saturday night when nine
members and friends went
bowling. Champions we were
not, unless you count the
record breaking low score of
42 someone finished with.
Then there was the player
who had recently suffered a
broken wrist -- she found she
could bowl best by doing the
.thing backwards - with both
hands ! Some of us even forgot
at times that the ball was
supposed to stay in the alley -
at least we didn't really
forget, but our hands and
arms just didn't co-operate.
On the other hand, such
screams of triumph you
never heard before, when
some of us "scored a spare of
even the GREATEST. a
strike ! !
