Rev. Davidson also built the original cottages at Deer Lodge Park on Lake Huron. Miss Adelene Palmer of Goderieh, who with her late sister Roxie, used to sing frequently on special oc- casions here:Jtoxfewas also a 'talt kfled pianist. " The ot-- fering plates we use were donated by Roxie and Adelene in memory of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Euchre played The Varna UCW sponsored a very successful -dess+rt euchre party on April 21. There was a good attendance. with 17 tables of euchre, and prizes went to the following: highs-. Mrs. Wm. Caldwell; low. Mrs. Reta Upshall; lone hands, Mrs. Harold Dowson. Prizes were donated by Mrs. Tom Consitt, Mrs. Bev Hill and Mrs. David Roy. Their new home is the Rectory on Tuyll Street. The phone number is 565-2834. Rev. Bennett said at least they can give the Carson Family back their summer 'home, which has been their haven since January 1. Sally, Jeanne and the Rector are grateful to them for their generosity. We of St. James Church do wish the Bennetts the_ best in their new home. Just a reminder: "The Albanaires" are coming to St. James Church, May 16 at 7 p.m. Many from Clinton will remember Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fink, Kimberly and Katherine who used to sing with the Albanaires. Unit 2 of Hensall United Church did not hold their usual monthly meeting during April but instead met for a "fun evening" last Saturday night when nine members and friends went bowling. Champions we were not, unless you count the record breaking low score of 42 someone finished with. Then there was the player who had recently suffered a broken wrist -- she found she could bowl best by doing the .thing backwards - with both hands ! Some of us even forgot at times that the ball was supposed to stay in the alley - at least we didn't really forget, but our hands and arms just didn't co-operate. The Hensall Athletic Association invites the members of the Three Links Senior Citizens to an evening of entertainment at the 1.0.0.C. Hall on Thursday.
