Council chambers. A poem
was read, opening the
meeting.
The minutes of the last
meeting were ,read by the
secretary Edna Adams and

treasurer's report. The roll

their own guitar and drum
accompaniment.

Mrs. Orville Dale expressing
the appreciation of

W.H. THOMPSON
William Hugh Thompson,
10 Britannia Rd. W., Apt. 1,
Goderich, died suddenly April
5 in University Hospital,
London. He was 74.
He was born October 2,1901
in West Wawanosh Township
to William and Matilda
(Clark) Thompson. He
retired from farming in 1967
and worked as a civilservant
at the RCAF base in Clinton
for 15 years. He enlisted
during the Second World War
and served about four years
in Canada and England. He
was a member of the Royal
Canadian Legion Branch 430,
Blyth., He was an adherent of
Christian school I

of - a family planning clinic.
Marguerite McLean, 24, the
family planning nurse in
Huron County holds a family
planning clinic in Clinton.
Thursday evenings from 6:30
to 9 p.m. Another clinic is
held in Exeter Tuesday nights
from 6:30 to 9 p.m. At these
clinics, medical counselling
and information services are
available
A Monday clinic, from 6:30
to 9 p.m. in Wingham also
provides medical counselling
and referral services.
Birth control is not the only
thing that can be discussed at
these clinics. Family
development and human.
development are also ttaq of
family planning.
Miss McLean is also
available as a resource
person. She speaks to, dif-
ferent groups on family
planning and has been invited
to speak to health classes at
different schools, in health
classes.
Atr the moment, Miss
McLean is involved in
teaching sex education to the
retarded at ARC Industries in
Exeter. The program is a new
concept in Ontario, and Miss
McLean is just beginning to
build up her program.

reported a quiet winter
season, but have two
banquets to prepare in the
near future.
Amendments to the con-
stitution, proposed by the
PTA board, were
unanimously accepted. It was
also decided to spend 5200 for
new books in the library.
After coffee and cake were
served, Charles Exel, grade
one teacher at the school,
spoke. on the joys and
frustrations his grade one
pupils meet as they learn to
read.
This presentation was
thoroughly enjoyed by
everyone and he was thanked
by Ina de Haan.
Lawrence Uyl closed the
meeting with prayer.
