whom no other assistance is
available.
Current. March of Dimes
activities • •include the
provision of wheelchairs,
respirators. braces and ar-
tificial limbs to those in need:
.travelling medical clinics;
summer camping programs;
and personalized aid by
Community Development
workers in setting up ongoing
group activities and outings.
Twelve Ability Centres are
operated by the Ontario
March of Dimes throughout
the Province, providing both
• on-the-job training • and oc-
cupational activity for
disabled citizens.
The March of Dimes also
diverts funds each year to
• worthy research projects.
The current such project
•concerns bio -feedback
training aids for amputees.
"Marching Mothers" in
• this area give unstintingly of
their time and effort to enable
the March of Dimes to carry
on its very vital work of
