In 1943, Jim Bontiiron died
and his son Harold took over
the business and four years
later, John Heal started to work
at Bonthrons. They became
partners the following year and
John gradually worked up the
TV business as it betame more
popular with the public.

since then, the area has been
serviced by Zurich.
Bevan joined the staff in May
1969 and on his father. Harold's
death in 1973„ he bought out the
business, selling the TV in-
terests to John. About a year
ago, targe electrical appliances
were added to the stock and in
March of this year, the funeral
business was transferred .to
Westlakes of Zurich. l'wo part-
time assistants are on the staff.

Neither John nor Bevan feel

Chicken is a universal
favorite! ' Because of its
delicate flavor it tends itself to
combination with many other
foods such as fruits and
vegetables. It is also a great
favorite for casseroles. '
Chicken compares favorably
with other meatsas a source of

iron. It has the advantage of
cantaining less fat than most
meats, especially when the skin
and outer fat are removed.
Ready -to -cook chicken may
be purchased whole or tut up.
When you buy. compare the
price of whole chickens to that
of chicken parts. If whole
chickens are lower in price per
pound,' buy these and out them
yourself, ,All you need is a sharp
knife.
To remove wing: Pull the
wing out from the holly and
slash the skin biitween them.
Cut around the shoulder joint to
separate the wing from the
breast, leaving as much white
meat on the breast as possible.
If desired. cut off the wing tips.

many ways, the favorite being
in casseroles. For special fall
eating, pair them with pericheis,
pears and plums. 'Curried
Fruit Chicken' is a dish suitable
for company. Serve k with rice

Curried Fruit Chicken
1 cut-up chicken broiler (about
4 pounds)
