Around 1940, an ambulance had been added to the Bonthron interests and serviced the area for miles around, In 1943, Jim Bontiiron died and his son Harold took over the business and four years later, John Heal started to work at Bonthrons. They became partners the following year and John gradually worked up the TV business as it betame more popular with the public. to 1965, the ambulance business was terminated and since then, the area has been serviced by Zurich. Bevan joined the staff in May 1969 and on his father. Harold's death in 1973„ he bought out the business, selling the TV in- terests to John.
