At the trap shoot last Wed-
nesday Aug. 27, there was a
three-way tie for top spot with
Bili Stewart and Greg Potter of
Goderich, and John Anderson
of Kippers each hitting 23 out of
25 targets. -
The top three were followed
by Jim Sheardowxt and . Man-
fred Dierolf of Goderich and
Harrison Schuck of Zurich with

Clinton with 20 each; and Lloyd

Next came Joan Dierolf of

ditions at Huily Gully on
Labour Day. the first annual
Farmer Boy Tournament was
played at the Benmiller

up an 11-2 lead behind the
steady pitching cif "Alfie"
Taylor, who also had the best
bit of the day, a hocaerun over
the left field fence. Danny
Taylor went in to pitch for
Stanley in the last inning with
John Hoggarth going- the
distance for Goderich Town-
ship. This game ended in p 11-7
win for Stanley.
The sec$, t game was a
heart -breaker for the Hultett
boys who were leading the
strong Colborne club by an 8-5
score going into the bottom of
the seventh with the Howatt
boys and Steve Reid coming up
with key hits. However, with
one out away from a win, a
"costly" fielding error allowed
Colborne to score two unearned
