This being the first-year for
exchange games with
.surrounding townships, it
would he,..natural to expect
some wrinkles to form in: the
system, Apparently there have
been some.
The Cduncil is immensely
proud of all the teams and
hopes that players and fans
don't become "World Series"
serious about it. Recreation
and good fun is the desired
retsatit.
Several questions regarding
rules and qualifications have
arisen amongst the townships
and this will undoubtedly be
discussed and a better system
set up for next year.
In softball, the girls last week
exchanged games with Ben -
*miller (Colborne). Team A
managed by Jan Ginn and
Walter Bell played Colborne's
Team B to the tune of 3644.

that game were Evelyn Bell
and Freida Vanderwal who
scored three triples.
ArnoldBelVs Holmesville B's
played Colborne's A's at
Holmesville with score being
24-8. Janis Orr and Debbie Wise
were picked as stars for that
game.
The Holmesville Junior girls
hosted Colborne Juniors and
Lost an exciting game 17-16.
Holmesville stars picked were

No • report from -the boys'
teams.
Council members felt that the
new lakeside park is not ready
to accommodate a large group
of township residents at the
annual picnic, so it was decided
to hold the picnic again this
year on the school grounds at
Holmesville.
A large table will be set up for
a smorgasbord picnic lunch.
Ice cream and beverage will be,
supplied. •
