•Unhappy with the six month
lull between soccer seasons, a
group of Clinton persons is at-
tempting tp organize an indoor -
'soccer league for Huron County
and part of Perth.
Don Armstrong, the
spokesman for the Clinton Soc-
cer Club, said last week that
already teams from Clinton,
Goderich, Exeter, St. ..Colum -
ban and Stratford have in-
dicated interest' in an indoor
league that would play weekly
at the former Vanastra Arena,
now known as Skateland. :
Mr. Armstrong said that if
1
sufficient interest is shown at a
,meeting on January 8 between
7 and 9 p.m. at the Vanastra •,
Arena, then a regular indoor
league would be formed.
'He said that the indoor
variety is played with a few
variations, with only six men
per side. The cost of entering a
team in such. a league would be
nominal, Mr. Armstrong said,
as they could. get a fair deal on
rental of Skateland. •
More details' can he obtained -
by coming out to the meeting
next week, oy.phoning Mr. Ar-
mstrong at' 482-9478.—
