Note
"They also serve who only Stand
and wait." And that is exactly what
every Goderich team is doing now—
Juniors, Juvenile, ' Midge-ts and
Bantams. All are narking time wait-
ing for the play-offs. Not a single
Goderich team has suffered a defeat to
date.
Closest call 'to defeat was at Durham
Saturday eight when the Louzon
Flyers squeezed out a 5-4 victory over
a Durham team that put up a stiffer
light on their home iee than they did
here. ToWards the dying'' stages of
the game, with the ,score • tied at four
all, Ainslie was heard whistling to
himself the tune, "Give me five minutes
more." HoweVer, at less than three
Minutes 'from the end of regulation
time Ainslie whipped in the winning
counter.
- The Jn ,,hors - are trying to arrange
exhibition games to tteep them in shape
for the play -efts. Biggest disappoint-
ment of the week was the inability of
London Juniors to keep their date in
Goderich on Monday night °owing to
snow -blocked roads. . The week -end
provided plenty of snow- trouble for
fans who went, to Durham Saturday
night. Arnold Doak, for ex,iturple, was
unable to get b,onie until., Tuesday.
Leaving Durham he went down the
Oven ° :1oirnd-Guelph highway by 'mis-
take , and landed in MouIi-t Forest,
where he was obliged to- stay all night.

A 5-4 victory over the Durham
Juniors on Saturday night at Durhani
enabled Goderich's Louzon to
complete their group Junior "C"
schedule unbeaten and untied. Don
Ainslie drove home the winning marker
with less than three minutes. of the
filial period remaining.
Close checking was .the order of the,.
first half of the first period. • With the •
Goderich defence doing the rushing,
('ole in the Durham net was quite
active. After carrying the puck to
centre ice, Ainslie passed tc Mero, -who
opened the opposing defence before
relaying to Doig. The centre man
made Liu mistake, denting the twine at
10.02. Two minutes later `Durham
evened the score, Cherry lifting a high
shut which hit Giuu on the shoulder
end bounded into the net. The Flyers
retaliated, "Moodie" MacDonald scor-
ing an unassisted picture goal at 14.30.
The remainder of the,)eriod saw t'he
ret urn of close checlibg; with both
tea-Ius• showing. signs of weariness.
Opening the second session by taking
the offensive, the homesters were re-
warded at 1.80 when McTaggart poked
in Cherry's. pass. SVhile Bisset and
Ainslie were repenting in the "sin bin,"
Durham hemmed the Flyers in their
own end of the ice, but on a breakaway.
Doig, after - taking Hayter's pass at
Centre, skated' right in on Cole, giving
the Durham goalie no chance on a low,
.hard shot, Hgwever, only ninety see -
owls had fhpsed ° when Durham
bounced into a tie again, Cherry tally-
ing after Ginn had- stopped a point-
blank" drive from McTaggart.

"Do you know," Harry Asked
me, "what 4,000,000 workers -
look like?" "No, but I fead
somewhere that four million
dinner pails would reach
from Winnipeg to Calgary.
'That helps to visualize
the number," said Harte,
"but the interesting thing
about the four million.work-

they all ci,fry life insurance
whether they carry dinner
pails or wherever they eat.
They are people like our
neighbours who live in the
houses we can see from here.
There are two,farm families,
