Goderich Lions took their sixth
straight victory without a loss in the
W.O.A.A. .O,A.A. Juvenile group by- walloping
Ripley 20-2 in a loosely played gauze
at Agricultural Park on Monday even-
ing. , A, fair-sized crowd was on hand
to see last. year's champions pound
three ,Ripley hurlers for fifteen lilts.
Ripley contributed , nine. 'errors to
help the Lions swell their finis total,
but Goderich wasn't so hot in the
defensive department either, making
six miscues in the seven innings ,played.
Ripley was first to go into tb.e'.lead
as a result of II. Harrison's, double
coupled with two Goderich errors in
the second innings. The 'visitors' lead
was shortlived, however. as the Lions
bounced back with six runs -ipt„their
half of the seeund frntize and • went .
on to run away silth ..the -game in the
later innings of the' Contttst.
Don ,Ainslie, oir the nionnd for .the
Lions. held Ripley to two _ hits and
helped '-his own .cause by hitting the
pill safely three times in five Official
! trips to the plate. IIe led his team at
bat. The Lions .played four youngsters
up from Midget ranks, Jack Fulford,
Jack Needham, Jack Price and Barry
Doak, and they all acquitted themselves.

Thursday evening last,'
The visitors hopped off into a five --
run lead -in the first innings by virtue
of three hits coupled,. with an error
and t\t•wwalks. -
- ['f the Stratford team had an idea,

ill for a let -down, as the Lions settled

sixth innings they were only one run
behind, the score standing at 5-4. The
seventh innings went by without either

..Evans, who is only one year out of
Juvenile competition, looked..good on
the mound and was ahead Of the Strat-
ford batters most of the tray, except for
the two had innings. .. .
