Income Tax credits for. degendept,children. Family
Allowances are payable from July 1st, .1945, and
the registration of children is now taking place.
The Family .egloy‘r:ances,Act was designed to. ',help •
equalize opportunities for all children, *iVa. When
the.Act was passed, Parliament approved the prin-
ciple that there ,hottld. be no duplication•of benefits
by way Pimily Allowances„ and Income Tax.
