old gentleman, though 80 years of age,

years. On Saturday night she went
to bed apparently in her usual health;
but in the morning when Miss Givlin
went into her mother's room she was
horrified to find that life had fled.

night when, it became known that
Wesley Irwin,. whose home is in Pays
field, had died in the little shanty near
the blacksmith shop; while under the
influence of Cigna. The young man
was alone at the time of his death and
when found was lying With his face
down on the floor- Coroner Campbell
of Zurich Was notified, and be inimedi-
ately sent word to County Crown At-
torney Seeger of Goderich. Late in
the evening High Constable Gundry
art ived and with a jury empanelled at,
Zurich, proceeded to hold an inquest
After viewing the remains, the inquest
was adjourned until Thursday, April
10th, to allow time to have, the con-
tent s ,Of the stomach of the deceased
analyzed by the government itt Toron-
to. The inquest will be held hethe
Town Hall, Zurich. The body was
taken charge of by the brother of the
deeetteed and interred at Bayfield last
Saturday.
