Letter to Santa
By Hayley Rushton
Lucan Public School, Grade 2
Dear Santa:
I wonder what you are doing
right now? Can I have a picture of
Mrs. Claus when you write back,
please, because I do not know what
she looks like. How are Rudolph
and the other reindeer? I just want a
pony for Christmas and that is all I
want for Christmas! I had a cold a
few weeks ago and I still have it.
We might be getting a Christmas
tree today.
Merry Christmas.

Advent Prayer
By Peter Lansbergen
St. Boniface School, Grade 7
Dear God, help me prepare for
Christmas day and to properly cele-
brate it and to share my joy with
everyone, for Christmas is one of
the most important days of the
year.
Jesus' birthday is very important
to me and I want to show every-
body that I care about him. I hope
that you will be proud of me when I
celebrate this joyous day with my
relatives because I do not want you
to think I do not think of you in a
positive way.
Advent is a time of preparation
and 1 want to be totally ready, I
know that I have not been the type
of person that I should have been in
the Christmases before, but I want
that to change this year, I want to
be one of the best people celebrat-
ing your son's birthday.

By Tyler Pfaff
Grade 3, E.P.S.
One Christmas Eve, in 1994,
there was a boy named Tyler Pfaff.
He was a good boy. But sometimes
he was cool because he wore his
hat backwards. On Christmas Santa
Claus came. Santa gave Tyler at
Scorcher 6 x 6.

It's on December 24
Santa flies around
In a happy mode
Stops at everyone's house
To get a lighter Toad
Everyone has a present
And everyone is happy having a

Since Santa's job is over.

The Magical Candy
Cane
By Niki Vermeulen •
Grade 6, Mt. Carmel
"Come on Sindy," said Mr. Fly-
er. The Flyers were on their way to
a town far away. Sindy's father
said he was going to surprise her.
They packed their car and were on
their way in ten minutes.
Later: When they arrived which
seemed like forever, Sindy figured
out she was in a desert!
"Sindy! We're here" said Mrs.
Flyer. "How long are we going to
be here for?" About a week," an-
swered Mrs. Flyer". A week but
Christmas. is in a week!"
Screeched Sindy" I know, we just
thought you might like to go away
this year for Christmas" said Mrs.
Flyer. "We are going to stay here.
It cost us a lot of money to come
here. "O,K." Answered Sindy.
going to get presents buy our food
and where are we going to stay?"
asked Sindy "The food and
presents are in the I?ack and we
have a tent since it's not cold
here." "O.K." Sindy, we have also
packed some of your toys to play
with, for this week. We also
bought you some candy canes, so
you can get in the mood for Christ-
mas. "Later, Sindy took out the
box of candy canes because she
was losing the mood for Christ-
mas. She took out the only one
that wasn't broken. (They were all
broken since the car has been over
so many bumps.) She peeled the
wrapper, took one bite and out
popped the biggest amazing genie.
Sindy stared -at the genie in amaze-
ment. "Wow!" she cried. "Little
girl, I will grant you three wishes,"
said the genie. "My first wish ge-
nie Is for it to snow here." said
Sindy. "Your wish is my com-
mand." All of a sudden proof
Sindy looked up and she saw lots
of snow tumbling to the ground.
"Genie, my second wish fs for eve-
ryone to have the best Christmas
ever." And genie my third and last
wish is for my parents to take me
home for Christmas. "Your wishes
are my command." Suddenly the
genie disappeared and Mrs. Flyer
walked up and asked "Sindy who
are you talking to?" "Oh no one
mom" Sindy answered with a
smile. "1 was just going to tell you
we are going to go home for Christ -
,was," said Mrs_. Flyer "O.K. Mom"
"I'm just going to help dad pack up
the car." "I'll be waiting in the car
mom." And then Sindy smiled and
hummed all the way home.

Rudolph
By Matthew Blane
Blddulph Central , Grade 4
It was five days to Christmas and
Rudolph caught a cold! What was
Santa gonna do? The elves were
thinking of what to do. One said
maybe they could put a light bulb
on Dasher. Another one said to put
a light bulb on Comet. All of the
elves were saying different reindeer
to put a light bulb on their noses.
While the elves were arguing,
Santa was really thinking hard.
Santa said to Mrs. Claus to call
some doctors. Mrs. Claus said that
was a good idea. So they called up
three doctors named Matthew,
Tommy and Kyle. They came over
the next day. The doctors would
have to make a potion quickly be-
cause there were only four days till
Christmas day. Santa told the doc-
tors about Rudolph. They all said
"Oh no!". So Santa asked them if
they could make a potion before
Christmas Eve. They said "we'll
making the potion. Then the next
morning they still were not done.
There were only three days till
Christmas day! The doctors got
busy finishing the potion. Night
came and all the doctors were very,
very tired and went to bed. The
next morning they got up early, and
by noon they had finished the po-
tion. After the doctors ,gave it to
Rudolph and he was all better! On
Christmas Eve Santa gave out all
the presents to kids everywhere.
Everyone was happy! Then the
doctors went home, but Santa had
forgotten to pay them! On Christ-
mas Day the doctors came back to
Santa's to get paid.
Santa said he would repay the
doctors by letting them pet all the
reindeer. All the doctors said
"Wow!" Santa took them to the
barn and they all pet the reindeer.
After the doctors said thank you
and went home.
