Prince Albert, consort of Queen

tree to England from his home in
Germany. It was decorated with

arms on the top. The members of
the court liked the spectacle so
much that the idea spread.
Today, for many people all over
the world, the decorated Christmas
tree has become the centre piece of
their family tradition.

EXETER - Women of the Exeter
Pentecostal Tabernacle met Decem-
ber 8 at Jean Jolly's home at 2 p.m.
Jenny Kipfer led in some Christ-
mas carols. She read the Christmas
story taken from Luke Ch. 2 in be-
tween each carol.
Marion Triebner accompanied on
the piano.
The roll call was taken and an-
swered by a scripture verse on
"Tidings". There were 1 1 present.
Helen Kendrick read an article on
the Northland Missions and the
group decided to send money to the
Northland Missions.
Dove Matheson gave as her spe-
cial "For Us the Son", written by
Billy Graham.
Ada Triebner had the message of
the afternoon, her text taken from
Luke 2:10, "Tidings of Great Joy,
Let Us Live Christmas Every Day".
Doris Peebles gave a missionary
reading concerning missionaries'
children. After prayer, lunch was
served by hostesses Jean Jolly and
Marion Triebner. Boxes for those
in the nursing homes were made
up.
