St. Patrick's Holy Communion Service was held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday. December 11, Advent 3. Rev. Stephen Emery, for his chil- dren's focus, reminded the congre- gation that true thanksgiving for God's gifts is shown in how we live our lives each day, in how much we are willing to share with others. Harley Davis, Katie- Scarlett, MacGillivray and Travis Davis assisted in the lighting of the Advent candles, hope, peace and joy. It is with great sadness I report the passing of a dear friend and sis- ter-in-law Marguerite Greenlee, a lifelong member of St. Patrick's who passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, December 9, 1994, after a long, courageous bat- tle with cancer. Sincere sympathy goes out to her husband Earl and her family, her mother Mary Davis, sisters Janett and Alexia and broth- er' Hugh from the congregation of St. Patrick's and community. Mar- guerite was buried from the C. Haskell and Son Funeral Home in Lucan on December 12 at 11:00 a.m. with dear friend The Reverend Beverley A. Wheeler officiating as- sisted by Rev. Stephen Emery, Par- ish Priest. Friend and neighbour Peter Garland delivered the eulogy honouring Marguerite. Wendy Els- ton was soloist accompanied by Jackie Martens. She will be greatly missed by us all in the community and her church.
