Christmas concerts planned
There will be concerts on Decem-
ber 16 at both Centralia U.C. and
Zion West U.C.
By Mary Peterson
CENTRALIA - 'Prepare ye the way of the Lord' was
the theme on Sunday, December 11, the third Sunday
in Advent at Centralia United Church. The choir sang
an anthem entitled "He is the Lord".
Becky and Fran Harret provided the Advent readings
and lit the candles. At Zion West, Laura and Marilou
Hern lit the Advent candles.
The children's story provided a very interesting chal-
lenge. Heather Smith drew a line with a tube of tooth:"
paste, and then asked the children to put it back in the
tube. Although they tried very hard, they couldn't do
it. Sometimes words are spoken or things are done
which we wish could be "put back into the tube of
toothpaste."
Faye Skinner has resigned from her position as
church secretary. She was presented with a gift during
the service at Centralia in thanks for all the time and
work she has contributed.
The annual Christmas concerts will be fun for all on
December 16 at Centralia at 7:00 p.m. and at Zion
West at 8:00 p.m. On December 22, at 7:00 p.m., there
