Want to lose weight before the holiday season?
Here is the best method: burn up more calories
than you take in. How? Eat less or exercise more.
Sounds pretty simple, doesn't it? But it works.
Speaking of eating, there was a lot of talk recently
about what is better for you... butter or margarine.
Well, the bottom line is this: 70% of butter's calories come from bad
fats... saturated plus trans -fatty acids, while only 20-30% of margarine's
fats come from those fats. Best choice? Soft margarines... in modera-
tion.
Prune juice is much higher in iron (3mg/cup vs 0.5mg/cup) than other
juices. Another interesting -prune-fact" is that the laxative effect of
prune juice is the same as that of whole prunes.
For smokers wanting to kick the habit. getting throug• the first two cru-
cial weeks without even one puff, gives you a bettor chance of being a
non-smoker six months down the road. A big dose of will -power com-
bined with support -group encouragement helps achieve this goal.
One of the best parts of our job is talking to you, our customers. It's
this person-to-person interaction that we feel is important when it
comes to filling your prescription.
