newest sponsors for the '94-95 sea-
son, TelRoute and Score Card.
Also teaming up with these spon-

Black Tower and Sidney L. Morris
and Assoc. Inc.
The 1994 eleventh annual Hiram
Walker "Special Old" Association
executive 5 pin championship was
held this past weekend at Sherwood
Centre Bowling Lanes in Hamilton.
This executive championship was
open to the executives of the zone
board. These bowlers all had a
great time and there were some
great games bowled. The format to
this championship was each indi-
vidual bowler had to bowl total
pins over his or her average. Out of
24 bowlers, Bev Childs of Ajax had
an excellent three games. Bev won
overall and won a trip for two to
Florida and a set of luggage. She
bowled 207+ pins over her average.
Congratulations Bev.
Also congratulations goes out to
Frank Smeekens of Parkhill. Frank
bowls for the Wednesday Night
Mixed League in Lucan. He
bowled a 418 with a triple of 834
for the evening. Way to go, Frank.

OF ZONING BYLAW
BY THE CORPORATION OF TAE
TOWNSHIP OF TUCKERSMITH
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Tuckersmith
passed By-law 28-1994 on the 1st day of November, 1994 under Section 34 of the
Planning Act.
AND TAKE NOTICE that any person or agency may appeal to the Ontario Municipal
Board in respect of the By-law by filing with the Clerk of the Township of Tuckersmith,
not late than the 29th day of November, 1994, a notice of appeal setting out the objection to
the by-law and the reasons in support of the objection.
AN EXPLANATION of the purpose and effect of the by-law is provided below. The
complete by-law is available for inspection at the Municipal office during regular office
hours.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT
The zoning amendment is a general update of the Tuckersmith Township Zoning By-law
including several housekeeping and other changes as follows*
I. - a provision for the extension of zoning in certain zones for minor lot enlargements
where the severed lands merge on title with the abutting lands;
2. - a provision to require setbacks from unopened or unassumed roads;
3. - a provision to allow existing deficiencies (e.g. setbacks) to continue as legal non-
complying after a rezoning or severance; this provision does not apply to parking;
4. - a provision to recognize that all buildings established prior to this by-law are deemed to
comply with this by-law
5. - to allow for the closing in of porches that extend 1.5 metres into the front yard as long
as they are further than 1 metre from any lot line
6.- a provision to permit minor encroachments in yards where a building was believed to be
in compliance with the by-law but subsequently shown by survey not to comply;
7. - standardized provisions for accessory buildings including a maximum height of 5.5
metres for accessory buildings in residential zones;
8. - a provision to prohibit the keeping of livestock, poultry, reptiles, stinging insects or
exotic animals which are dangerous to human health or create a noise nuisance in all
urban zones
9. - a provision to allow building on more than one lot where two or more Tots are required
to comply with the lot area or other requirements of the by-law;
10.- deletion of the requirement that home occupations and home industries he accessory to
agriculture in the AOI and A02 zones;
I I.- a provision to recognize minimum lot areas for new agricultural lots between 18 and
38 ha.
12. - a provision to permit attached garages in the VRI zone at a 1 metre setback; a 3 metre
setback must be maintained between the residential sides of abutting residences
13. - this erovision all residential accessory building provisions to one section
14.- deletion of the reduced lot provisions for Tots with public water in recognition of the
larger lot sizes required for septic systems, regardless of the source of water;
15. - recognition of lot depth for existing undeveloped Tots in the VR I zone;
16. - a provision to permit existing residences in a Developmental zone to expand the
residential building
17. - addition of a special developmental zone to permit golf course related uses on a
property on Key Map 3B
18. - addition of the (-h)liolding lone provisions

to 'Village Residential -Low Density (VRI)' from 'Developmental (D)'.
Key Map 3B(Egmondville) • change the area shown on the attached Schedule A.

The above list is a brief summary of the changes in the approved by-law. Complete copies
of the by-law are available from the Township Clerk.
As a text amendment to the comprehensive zoning by-law, this by-law affects all lands
within the Township of Tuckersmith. In addition, Key Maps showing the location of the
map zone changes are attached to the complete by-law which is available from the
Township Clerk.
