Exeter to host
Challenge Cup
game
SEAFORTH - The 'Exeter and
District Ringette Association will
host a game from the 1994-95 Rin-
gette Challenge Cup.
Doug Miners reports that the
Western Regional team, of which
he is one of the coaches, are one of
seven regional teams which will
play games as part of the Challenge
Cup.
The game, to be held in Seaforth,
but hosted by Exeter, will be the
weekend of November 11-13, no
time has been set yet.
In last week's paper, it was re-
ported that the team in which Sarah
Hamilton and Tracy Wilson are try-
ing out for, is the regional team and
not the London AAA team. Players
trying out come from such cities as
Kitchener, Owen Sound and Chat-

for
OBA
Boon is pitching as Merner will
probably go to short. Steve Far-
quhar is also available to play sec-
ond.
Whcn D'arcy Martin retired, that
Icft a big hole behind the plate but
young Mark Glavin has stepped in
and he and Glover will split the re-
ceiving duties. When Glover is
catching, Mike Agncw, who' can
also catch will be at third.
What arc the Express' chances
this weekend?
"Chances are good, we're keen,
we're hungry," said Dickey. "We
can't beat ourselves, we have to get
three outs."
A look back: In Exctcr in 1988,
the Express beat Little Britain,
Walsingham in 11 innings, beat
Wheatley and then topped Court -
right to reach the final undefeated.
They came up against Everett in
the double knockout event and lost
8-2 but since it was Exeter's first
defeat, Everett had to play the hosts
again but it was Exctcr winning the
second game 7-4.
It took four come -from -behind
wins to do it but the Express won
their second title in three years.
