celebrates
anniversary
BRYANSTON - There was an at-
tendance of 100 at an open house
held in honour of Ted and Margaret
Schendera of Bryanston at the farm
of Elliott McRoberts of Bryanston.
They were celebrating their 30th
wedding anniversary and their 60th
and 50th birthdays.
Margaret's mother Greta Gibson
welcomed the guests and her niece
Jennifer Armstrong was in charge
of the guest book. Margaret's sister
Marian Smith, daughter Debbie
Marsden, and daughter-in-law
Tammy Schendera served after-
noon tea.
Ada Smith, Aunt Audrey McRo-
berts, cousin Marilyn Pritchard as-
sisted in the kitchen. Twenty-five
family members enjoyed a barbe-
cue at the supper hour. The couple
received many cards and gifts.
Guests came from New Market,
London, St. Thomas, Tavistock,
Tillsonburg, Dorchester, Wood-
stock, Exeter, Crediton, Wellborn,
Lucan and the Bryanston communi-
ty.

A rare family moment was celebrated at the Exeter Villa on Saturday August 10, when
five generations got together to visit great -great grandmother Elizabeth Peat. ,tom left

Brussels musical group
HENSALL - A group of residents got together for Breakfast Club at
Queensway Nursing Home last wok. They had a traditional breakfast of
bacon, scrambled eggs, toast, juice iitd coffee.
On Tuesday morning the musical duo from Brussels Mennonite Church
called The Sound of Summer Players performed a show which included
singing hymns, doing a comedy skit and children's songs.
Following the show, Rev. Vernon Dean from Exeter Pentecostal Church
conducted the weekly church service with music and mig and an inspira-
tional talk on "Believing".
With the beautiful weather, the residents of Queensway were able to
hold a barbecue. They had hamburgers, hot dogs, fresh cucumber and to-
mato slices and banana cream pie for dessert.
The residents also gathered for two baking clubs this week. One group
made a blueberry struesel coffeecake and the second group made date and
nut loaf. These were made in preparation for a picnic planned for this com-
ing Friday afternoon.
The week finished off with a movie matinee - Beethoven's Second. Res-
idents enjoyed seeing all the St. Bernard puppies.
