STAINTSBURY - St. Patrick's
was decorated with lilies and spring
flowers when a wonderful crowd
attended the Easter Sunday service
with Rev. Stanley Jay officient for
the Holy Eucharist at 9:30 a.m. The
Paschal Candle was lit at the en-
trance of the church from the new
fire and Rev. Jay stressed its digni-
ty and significance. In the proces-
:5ion it was carried to the alter
'where it may burn at all services
pear the lectern from Easter Day
through the Day of Pentecost.
The processional hymn was "Je-
t.sus Christ is Risen, Today". Rev.
r Jay spoke to the children about the
Celebration of the Eucharist prior
to them going. to their Sunday

their gifts at the alter, paintings

things that are gifts of God.
The children and their parents
shared in the communion together
at the alter, followed by the prayer
after communion the closing hymn
was "In the Bulb There is a Flow-
er."
Courtney MacGillivray and Crys-
tal Davis were servers for the ser-
vice. Those children taking part in
the Life in the Eucharist and re-
ceiving their first communion were

ley Davis, Caleb and Corbin Mac-
Gillivray, Travis and Starr Davis
also each being presented with a
certificate by Rev. Jay.
