Purchase of chipper under consideration BIDDULPH TOWNSHIP - M its April 2 meeting council was in- formed Lucan is investigating the possibility of jointly purchasini a chipper for use by the village, Biddulph Township and the Lucan Hydro Commission. Presently a chipper is either rented or someone is hired to do the work. It is estimated there is one week's worth of work to be com- pleted at an approximate rental cost of $1,000. Anderson requested the township set aside funds in its budget for use by the committee, He explained most Ontario museums are gov- ernment funded and that the museum in Lucan nets approximately $2.10 for every $20 spent. Bluewater withdraws tender for co -collection STEPHEN TOWNSHIP - Coun- cil passed a motion at its meeting last Tuesday to enter into a con- tract with MacDonald Sanitation, rescinding a motion from March 19 accepting Bluewater Recycling Association's tender of $42,946.30. Unable to meet tender specifica- tion because trucks are not yet available, Bluewater withdrew its hid for waste co -collection. The next lowest bidder was MacDon- ald Sanitation.
