Matthew Turner of Varna was January's grand prize winner of a limited edition print by Huron County artists William Creighton. There are still close to 200 prizes waiting to be won throughout the rest of 1996. Besides three cash draws every week, there are at least three prizes to be won each month from County businesses and attractions, plus one grand prize every month. Based on cal- endar sales to date, odds of win- ' ning a prize at each draw are about one in seven. Winning names are put back into the blyj for every draw. The Huron Tourism Association would like to publicly thank the many business who have contrib- uted prizes and/or sponsored pages in the calendar. Funds raised by sales of the Lottery Calendar will be used to increase tourism promo- tion of Huron County. There are still calendars availa- ble and with nearly 200 prizes still to be won, they've barely begun to pay off. Think of it as a lottery ticket with a free 1996 calendar thrown in.
