Hallowe'en theme stamping class planned in Zurich

ZURICH - The Ladies Auxiliary
met at the Blue Water Rest Home
on October 3. A lovely autumn pro-
gram was enjoyed by everyone
present. A skit was presented by
Grace and Irvin Martin.
A quilt was displayed that was
finished recently at the Home that
will be drawn at the residents/
family Christmas dinner on Decem-
ber 3.
Ti:kels are on sale at the Tuck
Shop or from Agnes at the front
desk.
Ticket convenor is Carmel Swee-
ney. Plans arc well underway for
the upcoming bazaar and tea on
No% ember 11 at the Home from 2
to 3:30 p.m.
President Donna Klopp and sec-
retary Marlene Gingerich are plan-
ning to attend the Convention in
Toronto from October 15 to 17.
The birthday party for the resi-
dents will he held on October 23,
with entertainment by a group
called the Country Old Timers.
More helpers are needed for the
Tuck Shop. Phone Lauren Corri-
veau if you can help out one after-
noon a week from I to 4 p.m.
More aprons are needed for the
Apron Wheel.
The next meeting will be held
Tuesday, November 7 in the audi-
torium, beginning with a program
at 7 p.m.
Ag Dinner
An Agricultural dinner and meet-
ing for District #8 will be held in
Brussels on Tuesday, October 24.
If you are interested in attending,
phone Margaret Deichert as soon as
possible at 236-4130. Registration
is at 6 p.rn. and dinner at 7 p.nt.
The cost is $12.00 per person. All
the Ambassadors from the local
fairs will be present.
Stamping classes
A stamping class with a Hal-
lowe'en theme will be held at the
Beauty Den on October 14 from 9
a.rn. to noon. For more information

An Experienced Stamping work-
shop will take place on October 17

Senior diners
A Thanksgiving turkey dinner
was served to 54 Senior Diners Oc-
tober 4 at the Community Centre,
which was decorated with a
Thanksgiving theme.
Meda O'Brien was the 50/50
winner.
Rev. Gani Lazaro from Zurich
United Church delivered a Thanks-
giving thought to the diners. John
Finley, auctioneer, auctioned off
two quilts for the Seniors. The buy-
