Merkley - Ratz
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Ratz are

riage of their daughter, Tracy
Joan to Jack Edward Merkley,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis
Merkley of Toronto on May 6,
1995 at Crediton Zion United
Church. The maid of honour
was Sandie Duming, friend of
the bride. Bridesmaid was
Joelle Lamport, friend of the
bride. Juniorr bridesmaid was
Melissa O'Brien, cousin of
the bride. Best man was
Hans Gamble, friend of the
groom. Usher was Trevor
Ratz, twin brother of the
bride. Ringbearer was Brian
Webber, cousin of the bride.
Rev. Ed Laksmanis and Dea-
con Sam Dixon officiated at
the ceremony. The wedding
dinner and dance were held
at the Hessenland Country
Inn. The bride and groom en-
joyed their honeymoon trip to
Florida's Orlando, Sarasota
and the Keys. The happy
couple are residing in Missis-
sauga, Ontario.
Senior diners
EXETER - Exeter Dining for
Seniors met for meals of roast beef,
pork chops, etc. during the month
of May.
Keyboard players were Jean Hod-
gen, Josie Ryckman, Maxine Serd-
da and Wilma Davis. All -visitors
were welcomed.
Draw prizes were won by Mary
Neil, Jenny Harris, Len McNaugh-
ton, Isobel Kerslake, Allen Johns,
Marjorie Dykeman, Georgina Eng-
ler. Flower prizes were won by
Eloise Laurence, Newel Went,
Alma Langford, Don Jolly, Erma
Schoffield, Ron Packham, Ruth Ar-

Mills, Louise Carson, Helen Hin-
dle, Genie Verbeek and Stewart

Readings were given by Ruth
Brock and Ruth Skinner.
Mary Neil assisted by Mildred
Thomson did the actions of a read-
ing "The Stronger Sex".
Bob Graham sang some solos ac-
companied by Ellen on May 2. On
May 9 Dashwood Lodk & Key
showed their security and safety
locks, fire extinguishers and other
safety features. Kay Green celebrat-
ed her 90th birthday on May 21.
On May 28 Biddy and Eddie
Commack entertained with their
dancing puppet dolls. Cards were
sent to Reta Playfoot, Gertrude
Wilson, Winona Hoffman, Kay
Green, Bob and Ada Dinney, Jean
Allen, Muriel and Lorne Marshall,

Girl's dub
The girl's club will be meeting at the Mennonite
Church on Thursday, June 8 at 7:30 p.m. where they
will make yarn dolls and reveal their secret pals.
Retirement tea
A retirement tea will beheld at St. Boniface School
gym on Sunday, June 11 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in
honour of two teachers leaving this year being Marg
Suplat and Glena Tripp.

Marc and Cindy Gelinas of Dorchester, accompa-
nied by Jerome and Carmel Sweeney, Renee and Mea-
gan and Marie Gelinas Sr. Zurich travelled to Toronto
on Friday, June 2 to see the musical play "Oklahoma"
at the Joseph Workman Auditorium which Sweeney's
daughter Beth was in the great performance with the
"Featured Dances and the "women Folk".
Also Rob Hoffman from the Dashwood area was in
the play in the "Men folk" group.
Congratulations to Dan Regier and Rhonda Wright
who were married at St. Boniface Church by Fr.
Wronski on Saturday June 3 with dinner and reception
held at the community centre in Zurich.
Dan is the son of Pat and Evelyn Regier, RR3 Zu-
rich.
Congratulations to Paul Smith and Melanie Bricker
who were married on Saturday, June 3 in Goderich at
St. Peter's Church with dinner and reception held at the
K of C hall in Goderich.
Paul is the son of Gord and Cecilia Smith, Zurich.
Congratulations and best wishes go out to Gordie and
Jeanne Hay on the occasion of their 40th wedding anni-
versary, Sunday, June 4.
A surprise family get-together was held in their home
at Paradise Trailer Park with a lovely barbecue supper
complete with decorated cake and gifts.
Maria Kenda is spending the week visiting with her
daughter Helena Sumner in London while husband
Jack is away fishing.
George and Rosalie Harvey from Redford Michigan
spent the past week at their summer home north of St.
Joseph.
Gertie Fleischauer spent the weekend in London vis-
iting with her children and grandchildren.

Little Shannen Isabella Regier, daughter of Dennis
and Dena was baptized at St. Boniface Church on Sun-
day, June 4 by Fr. Wronski.
Students from St. Boniface School spent 3 days at
Camp Sylvan from last Monday to Wednesday (near
Parkhill) along with teachers Mike and parents, Martin
Gelinas, Rose -Mary Bedard and Leslie Geoffrey.
Theo and Alice Appelman from Holland spent previ-
ous week visiting with his sister Bridget and John
Groot Sr. at their new home at Parkside Subdivision
and all attended the first communion of grandson Brice
Weber in Mildmay on Sunday, May 28.
Happy birthday to Jackie Rader on June 1.
Jeff and Rosie Rothenburg and two children are
spending a few days this weekend visiting with his par-
ents and relatives in Paris , Ontario and area.
