start third year in serving farmers of the area
LONDON - The London Ford New Holland farm machinery deal-
ership ideally located on Highway 22 just west of the Hyde Park
Road at the northwest edge of London is just beginning its third
year of business.
Manager Garry Laing says his company is pleased with the re-
sponse from the farming colnmunity as well as municipalities, com-
mercial construction, landscapers and consumers.
London Ford New Holland is a division of Cold Springs Farms
Limited who operate another Ford New Holland dealership in
Woodstock.
Farm and industrial equipment giant Ford New Holland is chang-
ing its name to New Holland according to Garry Laing. A new sign
denoting the name change will be erected in the very near future.

'While the sign may be new, the commitment to our customers is
stronger than ever," says Laing. " We will continue to be the place
for dependable Ford and New Holland farm and industrial equip-
ment."
In 1986, Sperry New Holland was purchased by the Ford Motor
Company to create Ford New Holland. In 1991, it merged with Fi-
atAgri to form a worldwide company called New Holland. Ford
New Holland remained the North American operating division until
the beginning of this year.
London New Holland was established in 1993 and specializes in
Ford and New Holland farm and industrial equipment. It is part of
New Holland's network of more than 1,400 dealers throughout
North America.
Laing said New Holland's success has been based on the same
principles that have kept customers coming back to the local deal-
ership since its inception.
"The key is to always make your customer's jobs easier," he said
"You do that by providing quality, not only in products, but also in
parts and service support. When a customer drives off the lot with a
new product, our commitment is a part of that package. We're not
about to change that attitude."
New Holland's North American headquarters are in New Holland,
Pennsylvania, the home of the company since it was fouunded in
1895.
Ford New Holland equipment on sale at the London suburb loca-
tion includes compact tractors, agriculture tractors from 38 horse-
power to 400 horsepower, industrial backhoes and skid steers, com-
bines and New Holland hay and forage equipment.
Also available at the London New Holland location are Kinze
planters, Wil -Rich tillage equipment, M.S. sprayers and Tye drills
and tillage equipment.
•
Consumer and commercial products include Ford New Holland
lawn mowers and accessories, Simplicity mowers and chipper
shredders, Grasshopper commercial mowers, Gill landscape prod-
ucts and Befco tillers.
Laing added, "We also do business with a number of short line
distributors such as Eastern farm Machinery, Mohawk Equipment,
Laning Farm Equipment, Market Farm Equipment, Farm -King Al-
lied and Harco Equipment.
London New Holland has a well stocked parts department backed
by a very efficient North American pale supply organization. Many
regular maintenance items are very competitively priced offering
savings to farmers all year-round.
In addition to manager Garry Laing, the balance of the staff con-
sists of inside store manager Steve Corbett, salesmen Cal Henshaw
and Ken Evans and mechanic Tim Lowey.
