In fact, it flared up again the next slay. Local fire chiefs say that this winter's changeable weather, particularly the warm, humid spells has resulted in faster than normal creosote build-up in chimneys. They sug- gest that if you haven't had your chimney cleaned in awhile, it might be a good idea to have it checked soon. 4-H club discovers different types of bread dough By Melinda Nethercott EXETER - The third meeting of the "Bodacious Bread Bakers" Exet- er 4-H club focused on baking and eating bread for all occasions. The group discussed the different ways of combatting bread boredom by creating new and different types of bread, like eating muffins or bagels. The members explored ways of adding variety to their diets by using different food combinations at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The club then scouted out the dif- ference between batter bread and regular yeast bread. They discov- ered that batter breads are much eas- ier, the dough doesn't have to be kneaded. They also investigated the convenience of refrigerator dough and discovered that can only be fro- zen for short periods of time. This dough will not be the same quality as dough that has just been made and risen, but will still "give that freshly -baked addition to a company or family meal". We would •like to thank our friends, family and clientel for the plants, flowers and gifts and for making our opening a great success. iudY Notza and Mad garstakf of Cuts Plus .. The 4-H club's "breadventure" will continue on February 9, when they will be embarking on the path of judging baked breads and will be experimenting with shaping new and interesting forms of breads. •••••••••••••• • Spring is Just Around the Comerl Time to lose those extra pounds See Gabriele for weight management at JVatearie's Cllinlc 235-4014 $1.00 • er week • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Capsule Comments with Ernie Miatello February is Heart Month.
