ZURICH - The Zurich 4-H Homemaking club is looking for new mem-
bers to keep the club going. Anyone interested in joining (11 years of age
and older) can contact Sylvia Neeb at 236-4042, as soon as possible. The
club has always stood by the 4-H motto, "Learn to do by doing".
Organizers say that if not enough new members are found, the club is in
jeopardy of disbanding.
Knights of Columbus
The St. Boniface Knights of Columbus Council will be holding their
monthly meeting in the parish hall tonight at 8 p.m. The guest speaker
will be Brian McCabe.
The Knights of Columbus are having an elimination draw and karaoke
night at the Zurich Community Centre on February 24. There will be 301
elimination tickets sold at $100 each for a chance at the $10,000 prize.
Tickets are available from Karl Regier, Ralph Smith, John Jacobs, Mozart
Gelinas Sr. and Doug Debus. All proceeds are going towards a new bell
tower at St. Boniface Church.
Golden Agers
The next Zurich Golden Agers meeting will be at the Hay Township
Hall on Monday, February 13 at 2 p.m. and will be followed by a pot -luck
supper for Valentines Day.
Bake sale
A bake sale will be held to raise money for Brother Bob Mittleholti s
mission in India at the St. Boniface parish hall after all three masses this
weekend. Those bringing baking in for the sale are asked to bring it to
the hall before the masses start.
Figure skating
Due to Sunday's snow storm, the Zurich Figure Skating Club was un-
able to put on its demonstration at Oakwood Inn for the Winter Carnival
in Grand Bend. The club is, however, keeping busy preparing for its up-
coming competition in Glencoe on February 18-19, and is preparing for
its annual skating carnival on Sunday March 5 at 2 p.m. This year's
theme is "A Trip Down Memory Lane" and tickets are already available
from club members.
Volleyball
A volleyball tournament was organized by Mike and Wendy Masse of
RR2 Zurich on the weekend at the Zurich Community Centre and at St.
Boniface School. Twenty-two teams in all competed on the courts con-
tinuously on Friday and Saturday. The "A" winners were the Wolverines,
captained by Jody Masse, the "B" champs were the Dodgers with Dave
and Tracy Regier as captains, and the "C" champs were the Shooters, cap-
tained by Peter and Carolyn'Mathonia.
Some of the team members, however, found themselves storm -stayed in
Zurich overnight Saturday.
Personals
Melanie Overholt ot'•London spent weekend in town with Deb and
Steve Overholt as she took part in volleyball tournament.
Sharon Silverstein was in town last week helping her daughter Rosie
and Jeff Rothenberg get settled into their new home on Mill Street.
The sympathy of the community goes to the family and friends of the
late Noel Laporte, who passed away on February 1.
Birthday wishes go to Rebecca Geoffrey, St. Boniface principal Laurie
Kraftcheck, Josef Risi, Megan Gingerich, and to Nickalas Erb.
Rob and Brenda Grenier and children have recently moved from Mill
Street into their newly -built home in the Parkside subdivision.
tiwen McKellar of the Spruce Villa apartments has returned from two
weeks in Stratford with her daughter Jane and family.

ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting of the policyholders of the Usborne
& Hibbert Mutual Fire Insurance Company will be
held in the Kirkton-Woodham Community Centre at
2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 1995 to receive and
dispose of the Financial and Auditor's Reports; to elect
Directors and to transact any business that may right-
ly come before the meeting.
Nominations will be received for the election of two LDirectors for a three year term. The Directors whose
term of office expires are Joe Chaffe and Lloyd
Morrison, both of whom are eligible for re-election.
Lloyd Morrison will not stand for re-election.
