point Ontario Minor Hockey As-
sociation Juvenile 'B' quarter -final
series. Adding to the balanced scor-
ing attack was Ryan Wells with his
third goal in two games, Ted Hoff-
man, Rob Kobayashi, Nick Szabo
and Jeff McLaren.
Saturday night in Ingersoll, the
Chiefs waited until there was 19
seconds left in the first period be-
fore Wells opened the scoring en
route to a 6-0 shutout.
Wells, the Exeter captain, had
two goals with singles from Ben
Geiger, Glenn Hines, Scott Barclay
and Kobayashi. Both Szabo and
Jean had two assists each while Da-
vid Wilcox picked up the shutout.
The Chiefs, who have won their
last four games, head to Ingersoll
for the third game of the series and
then play the fourth game in Hen-
sall at 9 p.m. on Sunday.
Lucan midgets: In the six -point
series with Parkhill, Lucan lost the
first game 6-5 but bouncfd back to
tie things up with a big 9-1 win on
Saturday.
Josh Appleman led the way with
two goals while Daryl Boshart
scored once and set up two others.
Also connecting were Ryan Duke -
shire, Ryan Herbert, Kris Hanlon,
Adam Duskocy, Mike Wragg and
Mike Brady.

Exeter's AE bantam team beat
Forest in their OMHA four -point
series with a big 11-0 win on Sat-
urday. Matt Szabo and. Brian Hay-
man each had three goals while
Kevin Hogan, Mark Parsons, Jim
Seaton and Lucas Forrest also
scored. Tyler Bourne had a goal
and Live assists while goalie John
Miners picked up his 13th shutout
of the season. Exeter will now take
on either Dresden, Lambeth or
Ridgetown.
In OMHA bantam 'E' play, the
Stephen Sting lost a close 5-4 de-
cision to Zurich on Sunday. John
Rutten had two goals for Stephen
with singles to Darryl Parsons and
Jeremy Slater. Jeff Glover and Ben
McCann each had two assists.
Atoms beaten: The Exeter
MacLean Broncos fell 4-2 to Dres-
den on Saturday as the visitors
scored two goals in the first 1:18 of
play. Scoring for the Broncos were
Mike Dietrich and Kevin Overholt.
Matt and Mike Dietrich along with
Mike Kerslake and Daryl Bourne
assisted.
