A Christmas Poem
By Judith Gardiner, Grade 8

Santa's at his workshop
Working all year 'round
When December 24th comes
He's nowhere to be Lound.
• He. might be with his reindeer
He might he in his sleigh
But all you people know
Hell soon be on his way.
He Mies across the starry sky
Going from home to home,
Round eyes watch from a window
pane
Why, it's a greedy little gnome!
Santa's just about to land,
On a house's slanted roof
He lands that sleigh ever so'well
When he's not acting like a goof.
Santa slides down the. chimney
.1 -ns clothes now full of soot
First a big black boot is seen
And then another foot.
Hell go over by the fireplace
Tn fill thus aucking&up _
He puts presents under the Christ-
mas tree • •
Then he'll go and cat his sup.
He's up on the roof again
Making quite a sight.
He's shouting down to everyone
"Merry Christmas to•all, and to all
a good night"
