Sexual assault in Hensall
HENSALL - Jeremy Stone. 21. of 6-122 King St., Hensall. is
charged with sexual assault, criminal harassment. forcible confinement.
preach of probation and breach of undertaking after an investigation of
an:incident that happened Nov. 30 in Hensall, Huron Cty. OPP Const
John Marshall said.
The victim is an 18 -year-old Hensall female. Stone will appear in
Exeter court on Dec. 1.8..
Man dead after Varna accident
VARNA - Oswald R. Lesperance, 79, of Goderich "Twp. (RR2
Clinton) is dead after he lost control -of his '88 Ford on Huron Cty. Rd.
31.1 kin north of Varna at 8°55 a.m. on Dec. 5. Marshall said. .
Thenar entered the west ditch and rolled over. Lesperance was not
wearing his seathelt arid. was thrown from the vehicle and died at; the
scene. Lesperance's wife. Corrine. 78, was wearing a seatbelt hut
received serious injuries and was taken to Clinton Hospital. She. was
later translereed via amhulance to London's Victoria Hospital. The car
was severely damaged..

HENSALL - The next Hensall
and Area Community Drop -fen is
scheduled for December 18 at the
Hensall United Church.
The day begins with foot care at
10 a.m. Contact Marg Cole at 262-
2304 if you are interested in sched-
uling an appointment. Lunch will
be served at 12 noon.
Following lunch. Joy Ringers of
Mitchell and clowns Cactus and
Knobby will entertain. The day will
wrap up with card games for these
who wish to stay. The cost is $4 per,.
person. .

Artemysia Fragiskatos also took
part in the service. The anthem was
"The Virgin Mary had a Baby
Boy."

Jacohe was in charge of the eleva-
tor. The dedication of the offering

explained why- he telt myrrh was a •
fitting tribute for the special baby. •

from Andrea's Dance Studio who
perfur ned several numbers whith
everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

The Christmas meeting of the
Friendship Circle of Hensall United
church was held at the home of
Anne Annen. Mena Alderdice
chaired the meeting and welcomed
everyone and read the poem
"Christmas is Coming". Annen
used a Christmas theme for her
devotional entitled "Gifts of
Christ." -
Christmas hymns were sung
accompanied on the organ by Belva
Fuss..
• "How Far is it to Bethelehem?"
was read by Mona Alderdice. The
roll call was answered by 15 mem-
hers. each bringing a gift for a
woman•or child for. Friendship
House in Goderich: Each member
also answered with their favorite
Christmas baking. The treasurer's.
report was given -by Mary Britnell.
The group decided to -give dona-
tions to the M&S Fund. the
Hospital Visitors Programme. the
resource centre in Mitchell. the
London Conference for the. Zuquala
Project. 'and the fund to buy more
new hymn hooks for the -church.
Alderdice took the group on an
imaginary. journey to' sec the Mei
Tillis Christmas Show in Branson
` Missouri.
Alderdice closed by reading
"The Story Of the Candy Cane' and
then handedoutrcandy canes to all
present. -
A Christmas dessert was served
by Mary _Britnell and Shirley.
McAllister and a time of fellowship
was enjoyed. •-• ' •
