Lesperance, 79, of Goderich "Twp. (RR2 Clinton) is dead after he lost control -of his '88 Ford on Huron Cty. Rd. 31.1 kin north of Varna at 8°55 a.m. on Dec. 5. Marshall said. . Thenar entered the west ditch and rolled over. Lesperance was not wearing his seathelt arid. was thrown from the vehicle and died at; the scene. Lesperance's wife. Corrine. 78, was wearing a seatbelt hut received serious injuries and was taken to Clinton Hospital. She. was later translereed via amhulance to London's Victoria Hospital. The Christmas meeting of the Friendship Circle of Hensall United church was held at the home of Anne Annen. Mena Alderdice chaired the meeting and welcomed everyone and read the poem "Christmas is Coming". Annen used a Christmas theme for her devotional entitled "Gifts of Christ." - Christmas hymns were sung accompanied on the organ by Belva Fuss.. • "How Far is it to Bethelehem?" was read by Mona Alderdice.
