Cobwebs and Presents comes to
Exeter and Kirkton libraries
EXETER - An elderly woman
lives in a forest and is cleaning her
house for Christmas. She shoos out
the spiders and destroys their webs.
But the spiders want to sec what's
going on for Christmas.
This is the premiss for a new sea-
sonal story called 'Cobweb Christ-
mas which Marian Doucette will he
presenting on Saturday at the Kirk -
ton library at IU a.m. and the Exet-
er library at I p.m. .
"It's a delightful story," Doucette
said. adding the one-hour presenta-
tion will also include seasonal
.poems. puppets, fun and games.
She promised there will be some-
thing suitable for all children. She
has a good inventory of material
and alters it to suit the age of the
audience.
Admission to the show is SI with
the proceeds contributing, to. chil-
dren's programs. -
Marian Doucette will be vis-
iting the Exeter and Kirkton li-
braries on Saturday with her
children's show Cobwebs and
Presents for Christmas.
St. Patrick's planning pageant

SAINTSBURY - St. Patrick's
celebrated their Holy Eucharist ser-
vice, the second Sunday in Advent,
December 7 with The Rev. Stanley
I y offii icnt.
Harley Davis lit the second can-
dle representing 'peace' in the
Advent wreath.
Liz Jay gave the children's focus,
an account of the hirth and life of
John the Baptist.
Courtney MacGillivray assisted
Rev. -Jay -with the scripture readings
and acted as server for the service. ,

Eucharist and prayers the closing
Advent hymn,"On Jordan's Bank"

e volunteer's Christmas dinner at
the Exeter Villa on Wednesday
evening and on Friday visited with
Audre(t Reid of Lucan. On
Saturday Ron and Margaret were
Exeter PUC wants
to refinance loan
EXETER - The wheels are in mo-
tion to refinance the Exeter PUC's
$6.50,()00 debt for the water supply
pipeline. The loan is currently fi-
nanced by the Ontario Clean Water
Agency at a rate of approximately
nine per cent.
The PUC would like to refinance
the debt through P.W. Capital at a
rate of 6.52 per cent and needs a
bylaw passed by the town to do so.
Exeter Council will review the
bylaw at this Monday's council
meeting.
The town consolidated and reft-
nanced.its sewer project loans in
August with P.W. Capital Inc. at a
rate of 6.93 per cent.

at 7 p.m., St. Patricks will -celebrate
their third service for Advent with
the Sunday School Children's:
Pageant and Christmas Party. A
time of fellowship and' refresh-
ments will follow.
