STEPHEN - Stephen Township
is asking for assistance from the
province under the Provincial'Wa-
ter Protection Fund for a joint sew-
age system with Exeter.
The township wishes to expand
the existing Exeter sewage lagoon
so Huron Park sewage can be
pumped into Exeter.
This means they would close the
sewage plant in Huron Park.
Stephen Township Clerk-. •
treasurer Larry' Brown, said they
would close"the Huron Park sewage
plant because it is "in bad need of
'repairs." •
- The entire project is expected to
cost the township approximately S4
million.. Since the -active sewage re
serve account does not carry
enough funds to do the pmject they
decided to ask the province for the
grant. '
