Special week set to raise
awareness of prostate cancer
EXETER - Prostate Cancer Awareness Week will run from September
15 to 19 and,a. forum for information and support will be held on Septem-
ber -16 from 7:30 to 9 . p.m. at Spruce Lodge. 643 West Gore St. in Strat-
ford
The feature speaker will be Dr. Andrew Hussey Who will talk about the
medical aspects of prostate cancer. ' `
.1s weh,_the forum will be an opportunity to gauge interest in establish-
ing a prostate cancer_ support group in Huron/Perth.
In Exeter, nurses at South Huron Hospital will bewearing green and
blue ribbons to show theirsupport during the week.
• The Exeter Branch of the Canadian Cancer Society will be holding an
Information Forum on October 21 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the South Huron
Hospital boardroom. .. • -
The foram will include displays, information and discussion about pros-
tate as well as other types -of cancer.
"The guest speakers will be Dr. William .Tew and -Ann Tew. Watch for
posters with further details. .

CENTRALIA - Saturday.
August 30 there was a surprise 40th
anniversary dinner party: for Lew
and Madalene Tasko. The Celebra-
tion -was arranged by their family,
PalIi,.Greg, Kathleen and Erin,
Mary Lou and Paul and .Stephen
and Denise, who all:stayed for the
weekend. Special -guests arrived
from Palm Desert, California;
Madison, Wisconsin, Sault•Ste.
Marie and Toronto: Mary Lou was
commentator for a. slide show.of
thc highlights of her parents mar-
riage. .
Rev. Dr. and Ellen Graharn. of
Huron Park recently returned home
from a trip to visit their son, David,
and his fancily in Langley, B.C.
David flies Boeing 737's out. of-
, Vancouver for•.Canadian Airlines
International. He and his wife.
Lorraine have two children, Henry
and Emily. -
Whilc there, they visited the
Boeing plant. in Seattle, where each
of thc six doors t� the plant -is about
the length of a football:field. At the
Museumof Flight they toured the
original-_ Air Force One.: 'here were
over -fifty different types of aircraft,
all built by Boeing since 1916. -
Other exhibits included the Apc►ilo.

They- also visited with Ellen's
brother Clarence Love. and his wifc
