promotion plan
EXETER - At Monday night's
committee meeting, Councillor
Robert Drummond said he was not
impressed with the Huron Perth
District Health Council's Health
Promotion Plan. " •
It is a waste of our time. It is ab-
solute .drivel! Forty-six pages could
have been 15. Whai did they do to
spend $12,000 on it?"
Councillor Wendy Boyle agreed,
"I thought it was also (drivel), hut I
didn't want to offend them and be
turned down for any committees."
Drummond, in presenting a copy
of the report to the press remarked,
"Four hundred thousand dollars
wasted on so many projects in Hu-
ron and Perth - the list will dumb-
found you." •

Grand Bend, who attend Grand Bend's United Church

author at one outdoor service in August.
The Green Cathedral
Stately fingers..:leaf dressed limbs,
Nod their heads, amidst hallowed hymns,
Rustle of leaves, hue emerald greens,
Sunbeam catches this consecrated scene.
On this warm Sunday morning, wooden pews line 'pon
grass.
If only these moments...so precious...would last,
in a small resort town...Jesus' angels...I've seen,.
Hallelujah! I've found this Cathedral in Green.
Among all the bustle of tourist and lake,
I feel Christ so near, my breath barely I take,
In silence of prayer...amidst lives...you will fund,
We join now as one...all the same...in God's mind.
A century has fled, still we share our Lord's love,
When together, outdoors, worship God ua above,
As our Father smiles down, our voices ring high,
Giving thanks for our blessings, as we worship 'neath
sky.
God loves every soul, from this flock year round,
The tourists, the members, through Christ, love they
found,
So on cold winter Sundays...in my church, miles apart,
Green. Cathedral glows warm in a place...called my
heart.' '
