In communities throughout Huron County, churches work with the community to provide children with a Week of activities that include bible lessons. Most Bible Schools run -the program with” a theme to help children understand the lessons. A group of 87 children from.Brucefield, Kippen, Varna,` Coshen,,Hensall and Seaforth participatedin last weeks bible school held at Brucefield United Church. This year's theme was "A Little. Clowning Around" and Friday's performance gave.participants ari opportunity to dress up and'share some of what they learned-. The program included introductions, songs and four local clowns who helped to present the Gospel message in a funny way. • - Theoffering collected each day from the children and leaders .-was presented to the Ontario -Street Summer Team, a group of. nine young people from the,area who provided recreation for -.classes each day -and assisted with the singing and crafts:-- They were: LeisaMustard, Cheryl Cdlson, Kendra Jewitt, Chris Dawe, Sarah McNichol,'Rachel Bokhout, Jess Huls, Corinne Chalmers and Krista Mustard: A local clown group"Bumbling B Leavers" including clowns known as,Tuffy, Cherry, Buzz and 'Tumble Toes; also shared in the offerings. The clowns entertained the -children with animal balloons, juggling acts and face painting. Leaders included Kim Watterv<•orth, Rev. Tracy Crick, Lauren -Love,.Trish-McGregor,-Beth-CooPer,-Sandra Wilson, Willi.. -- Laurie, Lori Dewys and Rev. Cheri DiNovo.
