Break and enter - Exeter
Sometime overnight on July 8 thieves broke into South Huron Dis-
trict Secondary School in Exeter and stole a VCR. The following eve-
ning thieves broke into the school again and stole a TV.
Break and enter - Clinton
Dale Pumps on Ontario St. in Clinton was broken into sometime be-
tween 6 p.m. on July 3, 1997 and 6 a.m. on July 4. Crooks stole $100
In change from the till.
Theft of all terrain vehicle
Sometime overnight on July 4, a Stephen Township resident had his
barn broken into. .Culprits stole a 1985 red Honda ATV Vin#
JH3T80543FK403697 valued at $300. The ATV was taken between 9
p.m.,on July 4 and 10 a.m. on July 5.

ricks on Sunday July 13 for vaca-
tion time. July 20 the Rev. Stanley

Plans for annual chicken
dinner being finalized

ZURICH - A reminder to those
getting things ready for the Zurich
Fair, a meeting will be held tomor-
row night, July 17, at 8:15 in the'
Township hall. The theme for this
year's fair is, "Rural Challenge".
Fair books are available at the Phar-
macy or bakeshop.
For tickets to the Fair dance at
the Arena, Friday, July 25th, at 9
p.m. contact Carmel at 236-4702.
Mozart's Melody Makers will be
playing. Tickets are $5 in advance
or $6 at the door.
Tickets for the annual chicken
barbecue held at the Zurich Men-
nonite Church, Thursday, July 24,
5-8 p.m. Adults are $9, while chil-
dren 6-10 years are $4.50 and un-
der ,5 years are free. Only advance

Thanks to the Knights of Colum-
bus from St Boniface Parish, the
paving stone walkway is now com-
pleted in front of the church.
Anyone with empty pop cans are
asked to` drop them off as soon as
' possible to the Home of Doug De=
bus or Ralph Smith in Zurich or
John Jacobs in Hensall. Another
load will be going to the recycling
plant in the next week. Proceeds go
to the building fund.,

Steak Barbecue will be held Satur-
day, July 19 at the Legion from 5 to

Robert Peebles was the guest min-
ister. Ron Greidanus was the organ-
ist for the ministry of song. Rev.
Peebles' message was "Two Sides
to Mission" Hymns were chosen by
the congregation. Michael and Ann
Annen and Hilda Payne were the
ushers with Raye Jacobe looking
after the elevator. A special meet-
ing after the service was held to
call Nancy Fraser to fill the pulpit
vacancy. John Blackwell was
among the visitors for the service.
